  • Provideintensive pre- and post-sales technical consulting to prospectivecustomers and channel partners
  • Participatingin conference calls and customer visits
  • Maketechnical designs and presentations
  • Masteringtechnical customer grilling over trivia of product implementation,and storage / network architecture
  • Oversee thecustomer proposal process to ensuring the solution andrecommendations address all customer requirements.
  • Support Account Management.
  • Investigate new solution areas for productextensions
  • Train customers to master theproducts & fit them into their OSS
  • Design and run Beta evaluations (with attendant bugs!)while maintaining a professional and productive manner
  • Desired Skills &Experience

  • Ability tosuccessfully go complete sales presentations on one’sown.
  • Must have very strong networking,switching, and routing background (L2 & L3)
  • Knowledge SAN, NAS networking
  • Willing to travel, work odd hours, and be veryavailable.
  • Excellent business writing andpresentation skills.
  • Instinctive understandingof what it is to give service
  • Resides in thetargeted geography w / local relationships
  • Goodworking relationship with key local resellers
  • Ability to program scripts (eg. Perl, Python,VB)
  • Cisco IOS familiarity, ability to quicklyunderstand enterprise network topologies andconstraints.
  • Completely understand how toconfigure networking under both Unix and NT.
  • Familiarity with the concepts of next-generation storagesystems
  • CCNP, CCIE a plus
