Job Role : Onshore Civil Engineer
Job Description and Requirements
Responsible for study, design, specification and servicesof transportation systems (road, rail, airport, seaport), bridges,infrastructure, drainage, underground utilities,hydrology / hydraulics, water treatment and distribution, wastewatercollection and treatment, water resources and raw water supply,tunnels, geotechnical design, and other civil engineeringworks.
Under general supervision, performs allconventional aspects of the functional area subject matter. Devisesnew approaches to problems encountered.
Plans, schedules, andconducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation,selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures,and criteria.
Performs work which involvesconventional engineering practice but may include a variety ofcomplex features such as conflicting design requirements,unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordinationrequirements.
Provides technical guidance todesigners and less experienced engineers. Job tasks, correctlyperformed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency,profitability or operations.
Skills aretypically acquired through an undergraduate degree in Engineeringand a minimum of 4 years related experience, with averageexperience ranging from 6-10 years.
