Assistant Professor inCognitive Science Dept. Speech Language Pathology Job Description

  • The United Arab Emirates University invites applicationsfor a faculty position. Qualified candidates at all levels will beconsidered at a rank commensurate with academic accomplishments.
  • Candidates are expected to have a strong commitment toteaching excellence and student advising at the undergraduate andgraduate levels, a demonstrable research capability that willenable the candidate to develop and sustain an internally and / orexternally funded research program in his / her area of expertise,publish his / her research findings in refereed journals, andactively engage in promoting the growth of the UAE University.
  • Theapplication package should include a detailed resume, a briefdescription of current / future research activities, teachingphilosophy, and courses taught.

    English is the language ofinstruction and communication. Screening of applications willcontinue until the position is filled.

    Requirements

    Minimum Qualification

  • Applicants must have an earned doctorate in the applicable field.
  • The ability to teach undergraduate courses is a must.Industrial and professional experience is a plus.
  • Preferred Qualification

  • The United ArabEmirates University invites applications for a full-timeSpeech-Language Pathology faculty position in the Department ofCognitive Sciences, College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
  • The successful applicant will teach undergraduatecourses in the newly introduced Speech-Language Pathology BScprogram.
  • Other responsibilities will include research,assessment, university and professional service, and other assignedduties.
  • Bilingual speakers of Arabic and English are preferred.Expected Skills / Rank / Experience

  • PhD in Speech-LanguagePathology or a related area
  • SLP certification
  • Research record in one or more of the following areas : fluencydisorders, voice disorders, phonological disorders, articulationdisorders
