About the role : An opportunity has arisen for a Butler to join Front Office department in Jumeirah pre-opening hotel. The main duties and responsibilities of this role :
Fully responsible for the manning and cleaning of the Butler Pantry (ie. mopping, polishing glasses & silver ware, collecting stock from the main store and including linen collection, folding napkins, dishwasher usage, polishing of shoes).
Ensures that each area in the pantry is correctly stocked & operationally prepared at all times according to set standards.
Maintains full control over the Private Bar Inventory on their respective row including : collection of new stock from store, replenishment and control on par stock as per the standard.
Butler set up and service of villas according to the guest preferences (Daily delivery of fruits, milk, perishable items and special requests to the villas to ensure smooth operation).
The butler is to offer unpacking and packing service on arrival and departure.
Service of afternoon tea within the privacy of the villa and evening snacks with alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages at Café Wadi;
special occasion preparation and service of cakes / flowers for the guest.
Ensure that all the guest requests, requirements and private bar postings are managed in a professional manner and reports are maintained for all such activities
Compiles and submits a copy of the consolidated check control sheet to the Night Audit.
Working very closely with Kitchen with following strict HACCP standards and collecting guest amenities.
Maintaining the temperature control sheet for the Refrigerator and Deep Freezer in the pantry in their respective area.
Daily collecting, sorting of arranged soiled linen. Re-distribution of new linen to restocking the pantry.
Looking after the Reception Desk. Ensures that each area is correctly stocked & operationally prepared at all times according to set standards.
Maintains seamless interaction with guests in order to facilitate guest recognition, obtain preferences, anticipate guest needs and proactively action all their requests & requirements.
Also, ensures the privacy and security of all the villa guests.
Maintains a full & comprehensive knowledge of the products and services available in the SBU, other Jumeirah properties and the local area.
Carries out guest registration, cashiering and other administrative tasks as per the standard.
About you : The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications :
A minimum of 1 year previous experience working as a Butler or Guest Service Executive in a 5-star hotel.
At least secondary education or diploma / degree in hospitality management
Excellent English communication skills
Knowledge in Opera (PMS) and as well as MS Office application
Outgoing personality with ability to communicate with guests and colleagues
Additional language (Russian, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese or Arabic) is an added value
