ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a Business Development Chef to develop our foodservice business by providing culinary solutions in market that will drive growth.

Role Accountabilities :

  • Build sustainable business partnerships with culinary representatives in the industry
  • Accountable for product demos, New Product Development (NPD) testing and application development
  • Build relationship with key influencers (well-known Chefs) to understand their needs, explain how solutions would help them, study their experiences and promote Anchor Food Professionals (AFP) products
  • Offer and create a demand for AFP among Chefs and similar groups
  • Lead planning and execution of promotional activities / events to create a forum for the Chef community to discuss and learn from each other which would help to promote AFP products and solutions
  • Business development through innovative solutions that drive growth for Fonterra and chosen partners
  • Provide technical expertise on commercializing solutions and roll out of solutions across the channel customer base to build sustainable sales growth
  • Contribute to sale’s engagement plan by coming up with a convincing solution selling story to convince customers
  • Provide benchmarking and application tests for product launches and identification of product’s value propositions
  • Understand the requirements of different channels and key accounts in order to develop, trial and roll out suitable solutions
  • Innovate with existing product range and develop new solutions that cater to business needs and priorities by leveraging back of house (BOH) & front of house (FOH) trends to customers
  • Accountable for local team in NPD product launches by providing necessary technical training
  • Increase product penetration to existing customers through menu / product solutions
  • Share and provide insights to global chef team on new product development, based on local market practices in dairy foods
  • Possess the required technical skills to be able to practically demonstrate to customers and sales team the key applications of AFP Customer Business Type Bakery, Pizza and Pasta, Beverage and QSR in a highly professional manner
  • Lead & train and support internal team members on the benefits of dairy use, products feature & functionality and various applications depending on focus channel
  • Perform product knowledge / technical training to the key account customers
  • ABOUT YOU

    You would possess the following :

  • A Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary / Food Technology majoring in Pastry & Bakery
  • 4-6 years’ high-end pastry & bakery chef experience in the Food industry covering artisanal to large scale production, preferable in various business types, i.
  • e. classic Pastry Bakery, Hotel Patisserie & Bakery, Catering, Bakery Café and automated production facilities.

  • In-depth understanding of ingredients and processes
  • Outstanding pastry bakery techniques and skills
  • Incline with latest industry developments, trends and feds
  • Business development mindset and good commercial acumen
  • Experience in Hot kitchen with good basic cooking skills & ingredients knowledge is preferred
  • Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skill
  • Self-managing, fast learner, excel in a fast pace environment, flexible open mind set with an outgoing inviting charisma
