The International Participants Department at Expo 2020 Dubai is responsible for the management of country and multilateral participation at the Expo.
The Pavilion Director role is to drive the development of the Opportunity Pavilion and build a sound operational and business model to support the operations and continued management of the pavilion both during the Expo and Post Expo periods.
The main responsibilities in this role will include :
Design, develop and determine the creative direction of the Opportunity Pavilion;
Ensure compliance with the Expo Wide policy and procedures;
Oversee the design, curation and operations of the Opportunity Pavilion;
Drive the development of the Pavilion operational and business model. This includes financial plan, marketing and human resources;
Identify opportunities to collaborate with local and international stakeholders as part of pavilion development;
Provide creative guidance and curatorial input to ensure that the exhibition meets the Expo objectives.
10+ years' relevant experience in a similar role as well as :
A Bachelor's degree;
Ability to manage large and diverse teams;
Extensive experience in managing the operational aspects of a museum. This includes identifying revenue opportunities, building teams;
Experience in operating a large scale museum or exhibit centre;
Experience in curating and overseeing the development of exhibits from beginning to end.
