About the role :

We arecurrently seeking an experienced Technology Vendor Manager to joinour Group Digital team.

The Vendor Manager willbe responsible for developing and owning the Technology VendorManagement strategy for Digital EIT.

Within this role, theindividual will have the opportunity to establish and maintainstrong vendor partnerships and identify means to optimise servicelevels and performance.

A seasoned business leader with a broadskill-set which demonstrates analysis, excellent business judgment,and strong vendor management and negotiation skills.

You will workwith vendors of all sizes and must have the leadership presence andcommunication skills to represent AFG at all levels of theorganisation.

Experience in business analytics, strategic thinking,negotiations and operations are required.

Primary responsibilities include owning the vendorrelationships, monitoring vendors to ensure compliance with companypolicies and commitments, and owning the strategic relationshipsand Executive governance meetings.

To besuccessful as a Vendor Manager, you should be detail-oriented andadept at negotiating vendor contracts. Ultimately, an outstandingVendor Manager should be able to multitask effectively as well asdemonstrate exceptional analytical, problem-solving, anddecision-making skills.

  • PERSON SPECIFICREQUIREMENTS :

    Education :

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management,Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum Experience andKnowledge :

  • Ten years of relevantTechnology vendor experience in a medium to largeorganization.
  • Experience with softwarelicensing, hardware procurement, cloud contracting, and outsourcingagreements.
  • Demonstrable ability to work underpressure and determine priorities to meet deadlines
  • Proven vendor relationship skills andexperience
  • Job-SpecificSkills :

  • Superior awareness andunderstanding of relevant technology industry trends and issues, aswell as vendor organizations and business practices.
  • Proficient understanding of financial concepts andpractices as they relate to software licensing and contractmanagement.
  • The ability to multitaskeffectively.
  • Strong negotiation, management,and decision-making skills.
  • Excellentanalytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communicationskills.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Officeapplications.
