Assist in ensuring smooth operations of Shang Palace. He / she will maximize tea profits, maintain tea quality and service to enhance guest satisfaction
JOB & RESPONSIBILITIES
To have complete knowledge on the Chinese tea available in the Shang Palace
Ensure that SLIM ,Hotel standards and policies are explained to colleagues and are correctly applied
Monitor and ensure smooth operations in Chinese tea service and quality
Maintain consistency in Chinese tea service / quality / cleanliness
Handle minor complaints in Chinese tea quality or service and reports them to the Service Manager for proper action
Check set-up / mise-en-place of Chinese tea Counter prior to start of operations
Check cleanliness of Chinese tera counter prior to and after service
Ensure that all Chinese tea materials, equipment and machinery are properly used and regularly cleaned, in order to prolong usage
Practice economy of food, beverage, paper supplies, electricity and water
Check & train Colleagues on Chinese tea knowledge and service skills
Responsible to up sell the popular items in order to generate more revenues for the restaurant
Stay proactive to guests requests & pay special attentions to refilling the tea
Ensuring that checklists, requisitions and proper opening and closing functions are being completed in each shift
Interact positively with guests promoting hotel facilities and services
Organize special events in the restaurant,maintain rapport with all departments and attend relevant meetings
Assist the Restaurant Manager with working closely with Marketing and Social Media Manager to ensure that all promotions and collateral updates (including social media and website information and menu updates) are done in a timely matter.
At least 1 years experience in a similar position in a 5* hotel
Excellent communication skills in English & Chinese (oral and written).
Passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service
A warm personality, attentive and presentable
Accountable and resilient
Familiar with Micros system
Ability to work under pressure
