third of its total workforce and 1 100 R D personnel including 400 with doctorates Performance Materials and Technologies comprises five businesses each of which succeeds on the strength of its technology portfolio complimented with expertise in engineering sales marketing and supply chain SBU UOP is the recognized leader in developing and licensing process technology used by refiners and petrochemicals producers to produce gasoline diesel jet fuel and the building blocks for plastic and other products It also develops and sells catalysts adsorbents equipment process plants and technical services UOP is pioneering technology to get plastics from natural gas and to get more valuable products out of every barrel of oil UOP has also developed technology to produce real fuels from renewable energy sources including Honeywell Green Diesel and Honeywell Green Jet Fuel which was used to power the first transatlantic biofuel flight Primary Function The Regional Sales Account Manager plays a key role in providing sales support to UOPs potential and current customers The objective of this position is to provide the necessary customer coverage relationship management and commercial and technical positioning of UOPs technology in the refining and petrochemical industries to ensure optimum market share in the Middle East The successful approach requires flexibility innovation and sensitivity to client needs and to delivery of value Candidates should have a sound technical and commercial refining industry background and be motivated towards meeting customer needs and achieving sales success and contributing effectively to the meeting of business unit profitability Responsibilities Managing the customer base for a region of the Middle East developing an understanding of assigned customers in particular with respect to their business drivers buying behaviors and decision making structures As necessary assist business Strategic Business Unit SBU management with managing the interface with key clients Developing and maintaining relationships as necessary with local representatives and key personnel within relevant engineering contractors and industry consulting groups Developing and delivering agreed to sales revenue and margin targets within budgeted expense and pricing guidelines for the Middle East Organizing and leading internal RFQ proposal review and pricing bid strategy meetings Prepare project specific sales strategies for each event with close Interaction with Sales Technical Services and Product Sales as necessary Assisting in the lead role for negotiation and closure of sales which will also include the preparation and finalization of commercial agreements necessary to close sales Forecasting sales revenues for the region on a monthly basis Complete win loss reports for projects in a timely fashion Assisting in managing accounts receivables for assigned customers Assisting in identifying and communicating cross-

SBU project opportunities to the relevant SBU Working with other global Sales team members to position relevant process technologies with a view to ensuring UOPs success as well as maximizing sales revenue Gathering competitive intelligence for submission to Business Development Managers and Marketing Requirements Bachelors of Science Degree preferably in Chemical Engineering Minimum 10 years of sales experience in the Chemical Refining Petrochemicals industry Preference given to candidates with experience strong knowledge of the Chemical Refining Petrochemicals industry Fluency in both English Arabic is an advantage Strong customer interface skills Proven ability to generate new sales opportunities Strong customer orientation and interpersonal skills Proven success in profitably growing an industrial business in either sales or marketing Self-
