Required Experience, Competencies and pre-requisites (Mandatory)

  • At least 8 years of project management experience
  • At least 5 years of experience as a senior project manager and in managing complex projects
  • At least 5 years of experience in managing client facing projects
  • Previous experience of managing projects within the financial / banking industry
  • Experience of managing projects with 3rd parties and external entities
  • Experienced at managing scope and mitigating risk
  • Experienced at issue management
  • Excellent communication skills are absolutely critical : Excellent spoken and written EnglishExcellent presentation skillsTactfully communicate sensitive information
  • Comfortable being present at client location for long periods of time
  • Collaborative outlook
  • Ability to handle difficult situations
  • This role must be based in UAE
  • Good awareness of Release Management principles
  • Ability to handle pressure situations
  • Pro-active attitude : Anticipate project needs and propose alternative approaches where appropriate
  • Fluent with using MS Project, Powerpoint, Word and Excel
  • Desirable Experience

  • Understanding of DXC PPMC and associated processes
  • Previous experience of working in UAE / Middle East
  • Arabic language skills would be a plus
  • Previous project management experience / knowledge of Debit Card Payments and systems
  • Previous experience in the Merchant domain from a payments perspective (ECR, POS, eCommerce, mCommerce, emerging technologies and form factors)
  • Previous experience of working in an Agile and SDLC environment
  • Previous experience of managing projects associated with scheme certification procedures
  • Responsibilities

  • Responsible for project managing multiple streams of work
  • Responsible for identifying and managing key constraints and dependencies
  • Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Creation of resource plans and identification of resources needed and assign individual responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of the project
  • Take ownership for meeting project goals and deadlines
  • Recognize areas where processes can be improved and provide appropriate feedback
  • Regular status reporting
  • Stakeholder Management across all key internal and external stakeholders including the client, 3rd parties (suppliers, Banks and Government Entities) and internal SME teams as well as Finance and HR as required
  • Able to lead and drive meetings with multiple stakeholders including client representatives, third parties, management representatives and technical SMEs
  • Preparation of progress reports and dashboards for client and management consumption
  • Able to confront issues openly and quickly
  • Effectively communicate issues and relevant project information to superiors and stakeholders
