Job Summary :
Greet hotelguests; answer any questions or concerns
Provide an outstanding guest experience
Maintain an orderly front desk
Operate computer programs and multi-line phonesystems
Maintain guest records and bookreservations
Complete basic cashier andbookkeeping responsibilities
Contact necessarystaff to solve problems when challenges arise, ensuring guestcomfort
Hotel receptionists greet incomingguests and welcome them to the hotel. They confirm reservations,explain hotel amenities, give directions to rooms, and produce roomkeys.
They also arrange for luggage to be brought to rooms uponrequest.
From providingadditional linens to handling complaints about noise or roomtemperature, hotel receptionists are responsible for accommodatingguests during their shifts.
They contact necessary personnel, suchas managers or housekeeping, to handle specific requests orcomplaints.
When aguest’s stay is over, hotel receptionists handlecheck-outs. At this time, they will issue payments such asadditional room charges and process debit or credit cards to payfor room fees.
