Duties & Responsibilities : Completes patient assessments to identify patients for potential admission and determines if the patient meets criteria for admissions;
Responsible for managing the referrals and admissions generated through their assigned hospitals and territories by representing the hospital with professionalism to referral sources;
In conjunction with the department director, designs and manages the marketing strategies for their assigned territory; Conduct face-to-face contacts with potential referral sources and maintains positive relationships with current and potential referral sources;
Utilizes educational opportunities to present the hospital to referring professionals, payers, and government and private healthcare agencies;
Consistently identifies new referral opportunities and manages potential client base. Coordinates transmission of clinical information and benefits of treatment to patients, families and referral sources;
Performs 80% or more of work outside the hospital; To be reference for the rest of clinical liaison in term of knowledge and skills;
Skills & Competencies : Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and responsibilities with little supervision and / or daily direction;
Competent in life support; Able to work as an effective team leader; Able to present clinical overview of patients medical condition and needs;
Able to prioritize and meet deadlines; Able to manage difficult situations; Uses own initiative and is able to make decisions;
Education & Qualifications : Bachelor of Science in from an accredited college or technical school; Proven 2 years minimum clinical experience plus 2 years experience including direct patient care within an acute care environment;
Proven experienced in providing patient / family education; HAAD license / eligibility is an added advantage but not a must;
