Job Role : OD Analyst
ob Purpose &Scope :
Prepares andupdates manpower establishment. This includes participating in thepreparation and compilation of annual manpower forecasts, collatingand completing job succession tables / charts, preparing andmaintaining vacancy lists, verifying all forms of manpowermovements to ensure compliance with approved establishment.
Prepares regular and ad hoc statistical reports related to manpowerestablishment and job succession plans. Assists in the preparationof manpower demand and supply forecasts, based on approvedestablishment over the short, medium and long-term.
Collectsrelevant data and statistics in liaison with Human Resources staff,oversees the collation of corporate manpower reports.
Compilesmanpower figures and business plan forecasts to the FinanceDivision and Business Planning Department for inclusion in thecompany business plan.
MainDuties / Accountabilities :
Participates in the annual manpower forecast exerciseaimed at establishing optimum manpower levels required for companyoperations.
This includes initiating manpower forecasting forms,checking completed forms for proper completion and thatjustifications for additions / deletions are in order.
Participateswith supervisor in meetings with line managers to discuss proposedchanges. Consolidate manpower returns for all divisions andprepares final forecast documentation for inclusion in the annualbudget plan for management approvals.
Assistsin the preparation of manpower demand and supply forecasts, basedon approved establishment over the short, medium and long-term.
Collects relevant data and statistics in liaison with HumanResources staff, oversees the collation of corporate manpowerreports.
Compiles manpower figures and business plan forecasts tothe Finance Division and Business Planning Department for inclusionin the company business plan.
Participates inthe preparation and maintenance of divisional succession plans andreplacement charts and ensures that they are kept in utmostconfidence.
This includes participating with supervisor instructured periodic discussion of the plans / charts with respectivefunctional / divisional management and update plans / chatsaccordingly.
Contributes towards monthlycorporate reports to monitor compliance to approved structures.Reports any deviations to the Head of Org & ManpowerPlanning.
Prepares and updates monthly list ofvacancies indicating division, department, position title, manpowerrequisition and vacancy status.
Ensures that vacancies and manpowerestablishment records are always current. Ensures that manpowerrequisitions are checked against the establishment and tally withthe list of vacancies.
Initiates andcoordinates the collection of long- term manpower establishmentrequirements from divisions by discipline and grade for forecastingpurposes.
Enters establishment requirementdata into long-term establishment plans and submits to GeneralManagement for approval and incorporation into the businessplan.
Updates and distributes long termestablishment plans to divisions after approval.
Prepares and collates UAE National demand numbers basedon annual intake percentages and statistical analysis into the 5year UAE National demand plans.
Prepares and submits formanagement / company approval.
Facilitates HR incompiling company wide manpower demand and supply forecasts throughthe integration of demand and supply plans received from the HumanResources Division.
Gathers and collatesCorporate Activity Report statistics on a monthly basis, in closeliaison with Human Resources staff.
Conducts required checks andcomparisons to ensure the accuracy of information. Takes requiredaction to ensure that errors are corrected prior to finalsubmission to management and the company.
Generate ad hoc project related management reportsthrough the use of the Business Objects and other availablemanpower reporting tools.
Compiles in liaisonwith representatives form the Human Resources Division variouscompany reports including : vacancy report (for 10- and 11+ staff),UAE National reports, monthly UAE National intake plan, bi-annualnationality breakdown and monthly organisation chartupdates.
Participates in the ongoing trainingand development of UAE national employees, as assigned. Includespreparing and administering structured familiarization programs,monitoring and reporting on employees’ progress, asrequired.
Knows the Company health, safety andenvironmental policy, procedures, regulations and objectives asthey relate to his area of responsibility, and ensures that theyare effectively implemented in his domain.
Carries out other similar or related duties, asassigned.
MinimumQualification, Knowledge, Skills and Experience / (KeyCompetencies) :
Bachelor degree in Business Administration orequivalent
6 years experience in organisationmethods and systems, procedures, studies and manpower planning / forecasting in a large industrial organisation of which 3 years arepreferably associated with oil industry.
Excellent analytical ability and proficiency in the useof statistical models and analysis techniques
High level of proficiency in the use of the SmartStreamSystem and associated Reporting tools
Excellent business and technical report writingskills
Very good knowledge in using PCsoftware.
Good knowledge of written and spokenEnglish Language.
