THE ROLE As part of the EMEA Leadership team - Whalar's Head of Brand Partnerships willbe responsible for the strategic growth of the region as well as managing the Brand Partnerships Sales team.

The candidate must come with a record of commercial sales, operational strength and revenue generation, combined with a passion for high growth digital industries.

Knowledge of influencer marketing is ideal but not mandatory,Brand partnerships report directly to this role but there are other areas of this matrix organisation including Talent Management and SAAS tech that would need input and guidance as regards the region, but not report directly.

This role will be a large part of the future of the business and requires senior leadership and management in the region.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial experience, be comfortable working towards targets and come with an extensive network of advertiser contacts.

  • THE SPECIFICS Helping to shape and drive the commercial sales strategy for Whalar MENAProviding leadership for the sales team, helping shape account planning, forecasting and deliveryIdentifying and seeking out a strong advertiser client base for the businessBuilding long-term, profitable and trusted relationships with clients in the MENACreate and execute against a contact strategy, giving focus and direction to the teamComfortable with running a sales pipeline, understand the processes and requirements of a strong pipelineComfortable planning, setting and achieving targets for the teamRepresent the commercial sales with key clients and agencies and industry eventsCollaboration across multiple teams on outreach materials and lead gen initiativesAdvocate for Whalar across the advertising industry;
  • including public speaking and event appearancesPartnering with Insight / Strategy team for the development of long-term business plans and differentiated strategies for clientsGuiding and mentoring the client service team, ensuring strong transfer of communicationsStaying ahead of the latest trends and innovations;
  • keeping clients abreast of Whalar's thought-leadershipEnsuring all Business Affairs, Legal and Finance topics are in line for every campaign and partnershipTHE IDEAL CANDIDATE Strong experience in advertising sales and partnerships at a senior levelStrong network of contacts across the industryExperience in delivering social success strategies for clients, a consultative sellerUnderstands industry trends in marketing in to which Influencer and social marketing fitsAn appreciation of creativity, content and cultureHigh Growth mind-set - we are a business growing at paceExperience of managing a teamBONUS POINTS Ability to speak multiple languages including ArabicWhalar is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
