Our client is looking to hire an Chief Procurement Officer with experience in sourcing, procurement, and supply management for a wide range of businesses that should preferably include FMCG manufacturing, foodstuffs trading & distribution, retail, hospitality, shipping, oil & gas, construction, among others.
You'll be responsible for the management, administration, and supervision of the company's acquisition programs. In charge of the contracting vendors and services, and also manage the purchase of supplies, equipment, and materials.
The ideal candidate should have experience in sourcing goods and services for a group of companies and ability to manage monthly procurement in millions.
Responsibility- Develop, lead and execute group purchasing strategies by carrying out group spend analysis and develop the best short & long term plans.
Develop, review & approve new or improved group procurement process mapping to maintain economy and efficiency of global operations.
Develop, review & approve new or improved group procurement policy.- Assess, manage and mitigate risks for all the group companies by closely monitoring group procurement activities for purchases / acquisitions of goods / services as per category to ensure compliance with the group procurement policy.
Identifying potential cost savings opportunities and carrying out the implementation of the cost saving plan through strategic sourcing.
Applying the latest technologies for procurement systems & be an expert in SAP to support strategic sourcing.- Work closely with Finance & Management to develop the annual operating budget for the procurement functions, establish budgetary controls in line with corporate strategy.
