As the International Business Development Director for the Middle East and North Africa, located in Abu Dhabi, you will have the opportunity to influence the environment within a major international BAE Systems market within which the Business can identify, qualify and achieve successful orders and with a shared accountability with Businesses for achieving order intake targets.

In coordination with the VP International BD for ES, the VP / GMs within the sector, and the local Group Business Development office in Abu Dhabi, you will develop and maintain the Regional International Business Development Strategy for the Middle East for the Electronic Systems Sector.

You will be responsible for providing the understanding of international customer needs as well as developing relationships with regional customers and partners, ensuring that ES remains engaged with local industry and government leadership at appropriate levels.

You will grow the business by building international customer connections and assisting with linking existing products and technologies to current or emerging needs.

Work products and interactions will be at multiple levels, from the leadership team down and across the entire multi-billion dollar sector organization.

Daily responsibilities to include, but not limited to :

Achieves Order Intake targets for the Middle East region

Develops and manages appropriate level international relationships in the region

Supports BAE Systems export, adviser and industrial cooperation / offset strategies

Provides intelligence and advice to Businesses on budgets, programs, new opportunities, customer / political thinking and competitor activity throughout the region

Manages regional operations

Ensures that the requirements of the Operational Framework are applied in the overseas offices in the relevant region

Lead strategic customer relationship management regionally

Supports ES Business Areas with international capture activities on a regional basis

Actively participates with businesses in opportunity identification and development

Maps and manages level 2 and level 3 customer relationships

Oversees application of relevant business winning processes and leads specific areas of business winning improvement activity

Develops and implements regional marketing plans

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Required Education and Experience :

Bachelor's degree and 10-15+ years of related experience

Active Secret clearance

Required Skills :

Demonstration of the Total Performance Leadership Competencies

Proven ability to connect with international customers, understand their requirements, advocate for their needs and lead the effort to grow the IBP with quality regional orders

Solid understanding of how to identify, shape, qualify and create new international business opportunities

Ability to prioritize customer needs and set workload to maximize impact

Skilled and able to support international opportunity marketing plans and capture strategies, as well as campaign level marketing and strategies

Problem solving and analytical skills to resolve issues in a variety of complex situations, without supervision

Ability to hire, mentor, coach and train personnel to support international business growth, customer requirements and customer advocacy

Ability to collaborate / partner with BAE Systems industry partners, our customers and able to be a trusted advisor to the Business Area BD Directors, ES International VP of BD, the ES VP of BD, the ES Leadership Team and the Inc. VP of International BD.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Master's Degree plus 13+ years of relevant experience preferred.

Proficient knowledge of and demonstrated skills in successful marketing to senior military and government customers in the Middle East.

Proficient knowledge of and demonstrated ability to identify and analyze customer operational requirements and provide solutions to operational gaps.
