Job Responsibilities

  • Accountable for ensuring that the service / product supplied to EK is within budget allocation and at least possible cost.
  • Analyse food and beverage costs to ensure appropriate control is initiated and best value for money is delivered.
  • Organize periodic menu rotations for inflight and Premium class lounges by taking into consideration the customers’ needs throughout his / her journey.
  • Ensure that the Food and Beverage offering complement each other whilst providing variety and choice.
  • Manage catering contracts relevant to the stations in the allocated region.
  • Ensure effective performance management techniques are applied against contracted service level agreement targets to deliver a consistent level of quality and standards representative of supplying to the EK brand.
  • Build relationships and represent Emirates to our catering service providers in the allocated region.
  • Conduct regular menu presentations / workshops for both our inflight and Premium class lounge offering. Carry out regular supplier evaluations by conducting Food Safety and Halal compliance assessments against the EK standard.
  • Conduct and record regular F&B quality and compliance checks by carrying out pre and post flight audits. Analyse residual meal uptake to minimize waste, initiating corrective action where required.
