You as a Product Marketing Specialist - Enclosures will be a part of the Electrification Products division and will be based in Dubai, UAE.
The Electrification Products division offers low- and medium-voltage electrical installations, including EV infrastructure, solar inverters, modular substations, distribution automation, switchgear, measuring and sensing devices, control products, including KNX systems designed to integrate and automate a building’s lighting, ventilation, heating, and security, wiring accessories, enclosures and cabling systems, data communication networks, and power protection.
As a Product Specialist, you will have the overall responsibility to ensure that the sales proposal presented by the sales person to the market meets the customers’ expectations and is marketed in line with the unit’s product strategy.
With an overall responsibility for the unit offerings, the Product Marketing Specialist will act as the link between the Global Marketing & Sales, different Production units, Domestic sales, and the customers in the local market.
Your main responsibilities will include : -
1. Market Analysis
Monitor trends and requirements from the market which influence the product portfolio and forward these to the relevant individuals within the unit and production units.
Continuously conduct analysis of competitors containing information about the competitor’s business organization, the most important customers, product portfolio, pricing, profitability (including history) and marketing strategy.
Along with the Product Marketing Director / Sales Manager and other relevant personnel, make forecasts for one’s own product sector.
Periodically analyze the product portfolio’s profitability in both the short term (1-3 years) and the long term (3-5 years) to ensure a profitable (EBIT) and competitive price level.
Initiate benchmarking internally as well as externally regarding pricing strategy in each market and / or sales channel and / or product.
Plan product training for personnel within the sales division and other relevant departments.
Support the development of competitive and attractive products with the assistance of technical knowledge, based on specific customer needs.
Ensure the realization, development and adaptation of marketing and sales tools for a particular product or system.
Take the responsibility for product releases and approvals, and phasing in / phasing out old and new products to ensure they are properly implemented in line with the products’ life cycle.
Positioning the product in local environment.
Act as a key person with changes to the specifications and ensure feedback to product development and projects.
Ensure that the sales organization has access to appropriate tools for dimensioning and specification of products and systems.
Ensure that the offer is clearly and attractively packaged (content, notification, appearance, prices) to facilitate sales to the customer.
Create added value for the customer and ABB and ensure the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals by using effective sales techniques.
Communicate details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy (delivery time, payment, and general terms and conditions).
Support the salespersons with tools, product related underlying materials for sales proposals or tenders, literature / references.
Support with the production of service and support services linked to the product and / or system offerings that can be integrated into the sales proposals or tenders.
Ideally you should have a degree in electrical engineering with minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in sales, marketing, product management and in handling Electrical Distribution Enclosures.
Experience in the local market mainly in enclosure’s and related electrical Industry with good marketing and sales skills required.
