Job Summary

The Engineering coordinator will provide planning, organization and direction for the engineering Department in the most efficient and effective manner possible, while maintaining the company’s expected high quality standards.

He / She will be responsible to oversee all procedures and identify efficient and cost effective measures for continual improvement, supporting the overall advancement of the quality system.


  • Performs all required administrative duties for the engineering management team
  • Maintains record of the inventories and supplied of the engineering department.
  • Update daily departmental check book / expense log, cross references to budgetary guidelines for analysis of operating efficiency.
  • Bring any discrepancies to the Cluster Director of Engineering’s attention as needed.

  • Writes monthly reports and engineering file.
  • Tracks inspections and certificates.
  • Is multitask
  • Works closely with finance department to resolve any problem associated with purchase orders / receiving tickets.
  • Prepares preventive maintenance schedule
  • Distributes the work to engineering team
  • Ensures that the work done by subordinates are according to the specified standard
  • Ensures that all related tools are in safe place and in good working condition
  • Coordinates with other departments counterparts and ensures their satisfaction on quality and progress
  • Human Resources

  • Ensure 100% compliance with all mandatory training for your department;
  • Ensure that you dine in the team member restaurant at least three times a week and provide HR Leader on property feedback
  • Support WeCom with quarterly People, Community and Sustainability engagement events.
  • Communication

  • Share all relevant information with Assistant director of Engineering & Director of Engineering in 121’s
  • Finance

  • Plan and track departmental holidays and lieu days as per the needs of the business

  • A minimum of two years in a similar position in a branded hotel
  • Ability to manage a team
  • Diploma in engineering field is a plus
  • Any certificate in safety systems
