Key duty of the role is to support the Senior Manager Compliance in establishing a mature Business Ethics (Code of Conduct, Anti-Bribery & Corruption, Anti-Money Laundering, Counter Terrorist Financing, Sanctions and Ethics Hotline) program and integrating it closely with Enterprise Risk Management, Business Process Management, Legal, Internal Control and Human Capital.

Furthermore, key responsibilities include coordination of Supplier Code of Conduct implementation and management of Ethical Compliance processes and conduct related investigations.

Additionally, the position holder’s duties include tracking changes in key external requirements, performing Compliance and Fraud risk assessments as well as ensuring a systematic and standardized approach to internal policy setting, policy implementation and monitoring of policy compliance.

The Manager Business Ethics is expected to act as subject matter expert of business Ethics related matters, including managing Conflict of Interests and Gifts, Hospitality & Entertainments.

The position holder will work closely with MAFP Internal Audit, MAFH Compliance and Compliance representation from other MAF Operating Companies to ensure effectiveness of Compliance Management throughout the MAF organization.

Role Details Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities : Establish and maintain the MAFP Business Ethics Vision, strategy and roadmap.

Establish an annual plan and cycle for MAFP Business Ethics, alignment with MAF-Holding Compliance and Compliance representation from the MAF OpCos.

Set up MAFP Business Ethics KPIs and track the overall program performance, including the develop of supporting customer-focused dashboards.

Define a mechanism to effectively and efficiently track changes in external requirements related to Business Ethics.Maintain the relevant Ethics Compliance policies and procedures, including but not limited to the MAFP Anti-Bribery & Corruption policy, MAFP Anti-Money Laundering, Counter Terrorist Financing and Sanctions policies and MAFP Investigation protocol.

Ensure effective implementation of Business Ethics policies through the development and implementation of supportive internal controls, training and awareness initiatives.

Conduct and / or supervise MAFP Ethics Hotline investigations, including the onboarding and management of external forensic investigation companies.

Prepare and / or supervise the development of Ethics Hotline investigation outcome and recommendations reports to ensure that quality standards are met.

Develop and conduct fraud risk assessments, in close collaboration with the MAFP Enterprise Risk Management and Internal Audit departments.

Conduct Anti-Money Laundering, Counter Terrorist Financing and Sanctions risk assessments.Conduct Know-Your-Customer due-diligence and Enhanced due-diligence screening on future and current customers.

Monitor the potential impact of economic sanctions on the MAFP operating model and specific Business Units.Further mature the MAFP speak-up culture, with dedicated marketing and awareness campaigns.

Prepare Ethics Hotline related reports for the MAFP Ethics Panel and MAFP Audit & Risk Committee.Conduct reviews of Employee and third-party Conflict of Interests (CoIs).

Conduct reviews of reported Gift, Hospitality & Entertainments (GHEs).Replace the Senior Manager Compliance in relevant MAFP forums and committees, such as the Governance Committee and Audit & Risk Committee in case the Senior Manager Compliance is not available.

Minimum experience / qualifications required : Functional / Technical Competencies : In-Depth knowledge of Management Systems.

Policy Management, Project ManagementBusiness Process Analysis / Management (BPA / BPM)Risk Management & InvestigationsGRC technologies, Know-Your-Customer screening, including WorldCheck One application knowledgeAbility to establish trusting relationships at all organizational levelsPersonal Characteristics and Required Background : Qualifications / education : MSc in Law, Accounting, Finance or Risk ManagementProfessional certificates on Compliance Management, specific areas of Business Ethics and / or forensic investigationsGood working knowledge of ISO 19600 : 2014 and OCEGExperience : A minimum of 8 10 years of risk management, corporate compliance or internal audit experience at a Managerial level.

Native Arabic is a must.GCC experience / knowledge.
