Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is looking for a Senior Project Engineer - ICSS Interface to join our team in UAE.
This is a residential position based in Dubai, but it may involve occasional visits to Iraq.
Accountability overview :
Delivery of individual, Facilities Risk Review (FRR) Project Performance with respect to Procurement, Schedule, Cost, Safety and Quality to meet asset operational needs.
Arrange and participate in all project safety, design and constructability reviews.
Zero defect tolerance
Strict adherence to Project Procedures usage
Establishing Work Orders WBS Structure and alignment of proposals & CTR development with an emphasis on scope development
Project delivery to agreed schedule dates
Preparation of Weekly Project Dashboards
To drive interface management, liaising with the Client’s Engineering, Operations and Maintenance staff as required to ensure a consistent approach to project completion
Promote safe behaviour at all times.
Responsibility Overview :
Work Order Proposal preparation, including scope and deliverable definition.
Base line schedule preparation
Work Order Kick Off
Change Control within work orders
Risk Management within work orders
Work Order reporting
Budget Control of work orders
Daily Relationship Management and interface with MAC, client PE and client FRR Technical Authorities
Accurate reporting against active work orders
Responsibility Overview for ICSS interafce :
Develop interface management plan for Program / Project. Obtain endorsement of interface management plan from key stakeholders
Develop and maintain relationships with the Engineering Contractor, ICSS Vendor and Packaged Equipment vendor organizations and maintain a positive environment even during conflicts between projects.
Influence other organizations without having any direct authority (equivalent to a weak matrix structure of project management)
Monitor, and if necessary, push issues through the organization
Responsible for the execution of the interface management plan.
Organize and manage communication process between interface parties.
Monitor and expedite key information transfer between parties
Translate information needs between parties as needed to facilitate effective information transfer and understanding of information requirements between parties.
Conflict resolution of interface issues.
First point of contact for issues between parties.
Input into key Project Documents and reports including :
Weekly project dashboards
Procurement Status Reports
Project Change Register
End of Life Forecast
Review Project documents weekly including, and action appropriately :
All Exception Reports e.g. Planning, Document Control, Subcontracts, Contracts.
Inspection & Expediting reports
Manhour and timesheet reports
Lead in weekly discipline engineering progress meeting
Initiate / participate in lessons learned at appropriate stages during the project life cycle
Prepare and participate in weekly delivery meeting.
Coordinate between the site requirements and home office
Participate within the procurement meeting
Skills / Qualifications
Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (B.Sc. / B.Eng. / M.Sc.)
Membership of a recognised professional institute preferred
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in design, construction, and general project delivery in the oil and gas industry
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Project Engineering or Project Engineering Management
Minimum of 6 years proven capability in an EPC company
Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred
Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage
