DubaiJOB SUMMARY : The Project Planner will be a member of the PMO team and will assist with establishing and managing the project planning and assist the PMO with schedule controlling, oversight and reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES : General Responsibilities On his / her own initiative perform the following activities : Develop fully integrated Project Schedule as defined in the contract in consultation with Project Manager and Package ManagerDiscuss with various stake holders (Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Construction, Project Management etc.

and finalize the baseline scheduleLoad resources to the schedule and develop a resource list. Perform resource levelling where necessary.

  • Responsible for Collecting the status of various aspects of project progress vis-à-visEngineering (Data Available with Document Controller)Procurement (Data Available with Buyer)Vendor Progress (Data Available with Package Manager)Manufacturing (Data Available with Fabrication Manager)Quality Control DocumentationCompile the collected data and update the schedule with actual start, finish dates and forecast dates for remaining portion of activitiesAnalyzes variances in cost and schedule performance against the plan, and communicates the reasons for the issuance of variance and proposed mitigation plans to managementGenerate Weekly and Monthly Reports for review of Project ManagerGenerate Resource Loading Charts for various packages and report to managementMonitor, track, identify trends, predict and report project statusReview, produce and document accounting data and reports project management trendsSubordinates, peers and leadership ;
  • Work closely with peers in order to reach the common and shared goals for NOV within area of responsibilityDevelop successor for own position and also ensure that succession plan in is in place for subordinatesPerform management and leadership in accordance with the NOV values being a role model for the companyviews are performed for critical milestones with focus onExecution key deliverables & Management key deliverablesRecord non-conformances and improvements and implement Project corrective actions as and when requiredEnsure that clear interfaces are in place towards Subcontractor(s), Suppliers and other parties with respect to Scope of Work and responsibilitiesMethods of WorkEffectively plan and manage area of responsibility taking into account the various business requirements (existing laws, legislation, standards and existing guidelines in the company.

  • Ensure that relevant working methods are followed and kept up-to-dateEnsure that employees perform their jobs in such a way as to reduce environment and health risksRegularly evaluate working methods and conditions thereby minimize the risk for workplace and environmental incidents and thereby minimize the risk for quality issuesEnsure that processes you own are;
  • efficient and effective, implemented in compliance with internal and external requirements, defined and documented, known to everybody working in the process, continually measured, evaluated, improved and securedFor processes you own;
  • make sure to report process performance based on common KPIs, rise issues and risks that need to be resolved on a higher management levelDevelop, own and implement strategies.

    QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor’sDegree in Engineering or Equivalent ExperienceProficiencyin Planning Tools (Primavera and MS Project)Goodquantitative, analytical, and problem solving skillsExcellentwritten and speaking communication skillsKnowledgeof MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)EXPERIENCE : 7 Years ofexperience in Oil & Gas industry, 5 Years minimum in ProjectControls / PlanningExperienceof working as planner in fabrication shop or construction site shall be anadded advantage
