The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and inspiring a team of engineers to achieve their performance metrics.
Guide and support the team in the development of the platform and different products and solutions built on top of it, whilst delivering the commercial needs and promoting the company’s principals within the team.
The role will involve strategizing, project management, staff management. Your collaborative attitude and interpersonal skills will help you thrive as an Engineering Manager.
Manage, lead, coach, and support the engineering team (Sofware and Hardware).
Create a technical strategy and budget proposal.
Implement and monitor technical strategy performance metrics.
Coordinate internal teams to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
Work closely with all the different departments and other team members to plan and execute projects.
Ensure that the team has appropriate product and technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver products effectively by establishing realistic estimates for timelines while ensuring that projects remain on target to meet deadlines.
Support the sales and project teams during the initial stages of the projects during customer acquisition phase.
Solve complex and high impact design and development problems including customer and presales hardware issues of varying scope and complexity.
Track and report the status of projects on different activities, acting as a gateway through which work should be assigned to appropriate team member while ensuring that project scope is adequately defined
Assess and gauge ongoing technical and non-technical activities within the department and ensure the implementation of the department’s policies and procedures.
Assisting with the management of daily engineering and development activities.
Evaluate current engineering performance and provide strategic plan for improvements.
Provide direction and guidance to internal teams to achieve performance targets.
Assisting with project management by tracking and reporting progress, and resolving issues.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field of study Electrical, Computer, Information Technology .
years' of management experience and engineering leadership position.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and people management skills.
Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.
Hands on experience delivering projects within tight schedules and on-budget.
Experience in different programming languages and different programming paradigms.
Experience in modeling standards and tools, code versioning systems, automation frameworks, cloud-based technologies and enterprise architecture and design methodologies.
Knowledge in communication protocols (TCP IP, UDP, MODBUS, CANBUS...etc).
Knowledge in testing methodologies, development tools, and best practices.
