Bar Attendant

  • You will act as a personal representative of the hotel, providing service that reflects the high standards of The Restaurant;
  • it is our goal to exceed all Guests expectations when they come to dine with us. Team service will be key to our success in providing a warm and personal experience.

    The Bar attendant role will be to produce consistently high quality beverages according to standards and to offer support to all other Colleagues at The Lobby Lounge team of professionals with a passion for food and beverage.

  • What you will be doing :

  • To report to duty punctually, in full uniform according to appearance and grooming standards
  • To promote and maintain a positive working relationship at all times with all the Colleagues of The Lobby Lounge and the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr.
  • To consistently offer professional, friendly and warm service
  • To demonstrate a complete understanding of The Lobby Lounge procedures and set service standards as outlined in the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr handbook and the The Lobby Lounge Colleague Resource Guide
  • To follow all standards and directions as given by The Restaurant's management and as outlined in the Job Task Checklist
  • To have full knowledge of the menu, beverage lists in your outlet and all other special promotions taking place in the hotel.
  • Knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods. To be able to answer any Guest questions about menu items in an informative and helpful way

  • To always take corrective action if service errors occur, ensuring all solutions exceed the Guests expectation
  • To understand each service station and all side duties assigned to that station
  • Attend pre-shift, weekly and monthly meetings to continually improve the Guests experience
  • To understand how to operate all the equipment used in the outlet
  • To actively participate in all health and safety procedures for The Lobby Lounge the entire hotel
  • To follow all of safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
  • Your experience and skills include :
  • Previous work experience within an upscale high volume establishment
  • Excellent knowledge of beverage product and wide repertoire of mixed drinks
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player attitude
  • Willingness to learn new concepts and ideas
