Job Description

Dynamics AX Developer / Administrator is a member of the DarkMatter AX team and reports to the Business Applications Manager.

Working in a dynamic and collaborative team environment, the role supports the health and maintenance of both production and non-

production Dynamics AX environments. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability in the installation, administration, development and support of Microsoft Dynamics AX.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Environment Management

Install applications and configure environments for use in development, testing and production

Collaborate with developers, integrators, and business partners for system enhancements and upgrades

Work with internal IT Operations team or hosting provider to create new and decommission environments

Collaborate with internal IT Operations team or hosting provider to troubleshoot application performance, and environment issues

Deploy, manage and maintain Management Reporter

Build Management

Manage the deployment process of future changes, releases, updates and enhancements of the Dynamics AX ERP system

Perform builds and maintain build process and deployment procedures

Deploy builds across multiple environments

Application Administration

Work collaboratively with Developers, Business -Analysts, and End Users to troubleshoot and resolve Dynamics AX ERP issues

Implement and support EDI and web service integrations with trading partners and vendors

Monitor and maintain integrations including technical troubleshooting of APIs and source / target integration points

Security

Maintain and enforce security policies and procedures aligned with best practices for segregation of duties

Management and review of security logs and table permissions framework (TPF)

Manage security in the (AIF) Application Integration Framework as needed

Development

Create and enhance AOT objects such as tables, forms, reports, classes, data sets, queries, menus, jobs, etc. using X++ and Visual Studio

Code system integrations using a variety of techniques and technologies such as AIF, .NET Business Connector, X++, C#, Web Services, REST APIs, EDI, XML, SSIS, FTP, etc.

Build and maintain SQL Server database objects such as stored procedures, views, tables, and jobs

Skills and Qualifications

Education :

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Business Administration

Master’s degree or equivalent preferred

Qualifications :

3+ years of Dynamics AX system application administration experience

Solid knowledge of Dynamics AX core administration concepts

Knowledge of SQL and RDBMS concepts

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Good documentation skills, procedures, design specs, test scripts, training documents etc.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX

Preferred Qualifications :

Organized, detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment

Strong communications skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in easily -understood business terms

Possesses business, analytical, and process skills with a strong technical knowledge

Has strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
