Al Tayer is on the look for a Business System Manager who will manage and maintain service delivery for BU or Group-Wide specific application systems and oversee the Provider performance.
This role will be a key problem solver and provides inputs and guidance, as necessary, related to IT solutions of the identified application portfolio
Role responsbilities include :
Ensures that organisation’s application roadmaps are executed per desired technology architecture and business requirements while also ensuring adherence to prescribed quality standards
Monitors, supports and maintains IT applications
Ensures that the day to day operations of the applications are stable, that Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met, and that incidents are avoided or handled in an expedient fashion
Supervises the development and implementation of new applications, systems software, and upgrades existing applications as required
Proactively manages the Provider to ensure that the service delivery meets the expected quality, budget and timelines
Develops service delivery best-practices for the organisation’s application services
Provides inputs and guidance on application related capabilities, timelines and budgets
Manages and governs the consumption of Cloud related applications
Participates in governance committees related to Portfolio & Demand Management, Service Management and IT Alignment
Gathers requirements from a IT Business Partner and develops the technical requirements in association with the Provider, as required
Conducts day to day management of the application service providers including the monitoring and active management of SLAs and KPIs
Manages SaaS services and monitors the consumption and usage by respective Business Units
Manages the Provider team to develop and deliver applications on a PaaS platform if required
Manages application development and maintenance lifecycle for a specific business domain or application portfolio
Provides second and third line support for the currently deployed applications and in the day to day usage of these applications;
manages execution of applications Service Level Agreements and Operation Level Agreements, as required
Reviews performance of IT systems and productivity levels and makes recommendations for improvements
Works closely with IT security team to implement security recommendations to ensure protection of the company's systems and data from unauthorised users both internally and externally
Develops and maintains user guides and training documentation in line with the organisation’s business and IT objectives and for handing over this documentation to the maintenance team, with support from the Provider
Develops processes and procedures for application and technical support of critical IT Systems applications to ensure that the systems are resilient, fit for purpose and meet evolving business requirements, with support from the Provider
Evaluates existing and / or new applications on their UI (User Interface) and UX (user experience) effectiveness
Communicates the design deployment / system integration plan to the Provider; co-ordinates and approves the design and finalisation of technical plans (system design, platforms and integration)
Oversees the translation of technical requirements into Provider delivery / projects and design of end-to-end solutions, ensuring that they are highly reliable, scalable, and perform to meet business-defined service levels
What does the ideal candidate look like?
Someone with a strong IT background and experience of handling critical and large-scale projects (both technical and functional aspects)
Qualified on :
Data architect experience AWS Architect
AWS Data analytics and AI / Machine learning
Retail ERP knowledge, preferably Oracle
Managing data strategy, pipeline and BAU
