Shangri-La Hotel - Sales Coordinator
Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney, situated in the heart of the historic Rocks district. With 565 guest rooms and suites, a luxurious Chi Spa, 8 food and beverage outlets and 17 conference and meeting rooms, this Deluxe 5 star hotel is tailored towards both the corporate and leisure guest.
The Sales Executive is responsible for the acquisition, development and retention of the hotel based accounts. In addition, you will be responsible for implementing sales activities and maximising business opportunities.
Proactive sales including sales calls / meetings, site inspections, entertainment and telesales calls.
Attends major travel functions and promotional events (i.e. trade shows) and promotes sales (rooms, catering, and other facilities and services) for the hotel when required.
Keeps updated with client relationships and overall business goals through close communication with Events Booking Centre Team.
Handles all aspects of site inspection or familiarisation group including enquiry, co-ordination and execution thereof.
Responsible for post site inspection group or familiarization group follow up such as sending Thank You Letter for developing a potential client’s database for future business opportunities.
Compile with weekly and monthly reporting as required.
Experiences and skills required :
One year experience in sales similar role
Preferred experience with Fidelio, Opera or Delphi
Experience in Hotel Environment
Diploma or degree in Sales & Marketing
Customer service skills
Driven, motivated and outgoing
Excellent communication skills in reading and writing English
