We are seeking for a Security Manager to be part of our team in Abu Dhabi.

As a Security Manager, you will be responsible for managing the sites' security force as they provide and perform services to assure safety and protection, including but not limited to property and assets but also personnel (Guests, Colleagues, Contractors) against injury or death, molestation, harassment or intimidation, and loss or damage from any preventable cause including fire, theft, embezzlement, damage or destruction, trespass, espionage, or sabotage.

You will spearhead the establishment and enforcement of security policies and procedures. The Security department operates 24 / 7, thus you will be on call.

Your scope of work will also include :

  • Writing or reviewing security-related documents, such as incident reports, proposals, and tactical or strategic initiatives
  • Maintaining training curriculum and emergency rules and procedures and training / retraining department team members and / or other Colleagues in security
  • Leading and conducting regular review and ensuring that programs / procedures are in place in order to address most expected circumstances in the event of an emergency situation
  • Initiating and leading appropriate loss recovery actions necessary to protect the park from further additional losses and / or coordinating implementation of emergency plan, crisis management, emergency and evacuation drills
  • Reviewing financial reports to ensure efficiency and quality of security operations
  • Developing budgets for security operations
  • Ordering security-related supplies and equipment as needed
  • Working with the rest of the department head in maintaining and updating property loss and prevention program
  • Establishing, overseeing and maintaining control of departmental keys in order to ensure that only the assigned / authorized personnel have access
  • Maintaining control of master key inventories and ensure the proper whereabouts / existence of all master keys
  • Establishing and overseeing key safety alarms or other devices including management plans around and within the facility building and perimeter
  • Controlling access to critical areas where the need for access arises outside of normal operating hours for that area
  • Reporting, tracking, and evaluating all incidents and determine course of action

  • Ensuring that all reports are completed properly and in a timely manner so as to ensure that all matters are duly communicated and all necessary actions are commenced as soon as required
  • Monitoring and supporting security-related processes for protecting classified, proprietary and sensitive information, including processes for Colleagues’ disciplinary hearing, leavers’ clearance, etc.
  • Acting as liaison between leisure facility and any governmental agencies such as police, civil defense and any safety regulatory bodies
  • Implementing policies and procedures ensuring that the sites maintain full compliance with all legislative acts and regulations
  • Establishing and maintaining procedures to prevent any internal theft / losses and ensuring that all items are properly returned to the rightful owner upon enquiry;
  • with proper verification being done

  • Establishing and maintaining policies and procedures for the escort of Colleagues transporting large sums of money; locker control;
  • spot checks of colleagues / contractors carrying parcels when entering / departing the sites to ensure that there is no security breach

  • Establishing and maintaining systems / procedures to ensure that both regular and irregular patrols of entire complex are completed to maximum potential, warding off intruders
  • Discovering source of security breach to prevent any sort of crime and coordinate investigation of all acts of misconduct, or any losses incurred against by guests, patrons Colleagues and contractors in order to determine who’s responsible and proceed with any necessary prosecution / recover of losses
  • Ensuring that all required checks, tests, and inspections are completed in a timely manner where required in order to ensure compliance with all code and regulation requirements and ensure that all records are properly maintained as required
  • Work in coordination with the QHSE Manager and other senior leaders regarding implementation of actions necessary to minimize any potential claims
  • Reviewing daily activities of the department on all shifts (administrative / operational / financial) and ensuring that they perform and everything runs to set standards
  • Completing regular performance management / appraisals for Security team and conduct corrective interviews with Colleagues where necessary
  • Establishing and maintaining effective means of communication and working rapport with staff / management of other departments
  • Performing other duties as may be assigned by the General Manager and / or senior leadership team
  • Qualifications

    To be considered for this role, you will need :

  • Be based in Abu Dhabi or willing to relocate
  • A High School Diploma, with essential certification related to security training (e.g. Basic Security Training)
  • A Bachelor s or Associate s Degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration or related subjects preferred
  • Certification / Training related to safety and security (e.g. Crisis Management)
  • Minimum of 5 years in the Armed Forces
