Company : Description : Job Profile Summary Investment Consultants help institutional clients (sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, endowments, foundations, family offices and other institutional asset pools) to achieve their financial goals by advising them on appropriate investment objectives and policies, investment strategy, assisting with invest but not limited to strategic asset allocation development, portfolio construction, manager selection, performance reporting and investment governance Understand asset class return and risk assumptions and how these are used for developing a client’s asset allocation Develop expert knowledge of Mercer’s modelling tools for asset allocation and portfolio construction Develop expert knowledge Mercer’s investment manager database for manager selection and monitoring Prepare client performance monitoring reports using Mercer proprietary investment tools as well as Microsoft tools, where required.
Prepare ad hoc reports with regard to portfolio construction, manager structure analysis, and manager selection exercises Analyze different investment markets, evaluate portfolio characteristics to obtain information useful to explain performance difference among investment strategies.
Communicate with asset owners and investment managers, both in writing and verbally, as required. Closely examine and monitor developments at investment management firms and notify clients of critical issues in an accurate and timely manner.
Supports senior consultants in responding to enquiries from clients. Communicates to clients regularly with monthly and quarterly updates, as well as any ad-hoc investment research.
Prepare proposals for client pitches, and manage the process from start to finish Additionally Should be proficient in Microsoft office, in particular, Excel and PowerPoint.
Fluent English speaker. Arabic is a plus, but not essential Interested in pursuing a relevant professional qualification either Actuarial or CFA or CAIA
