Key tasks

  • To ensure swimming pools are cleaned as per hotel schedules and operational times.
  • To carry our preventative and routine maintenance on swimming pools per standard.
  • To vacuum the pool as per company policy and carry out specific cleaning or maintenance.
  • To liaise with Recreation Supervisor / Recreation Coordinator on the ordering of cleaning chemicals for the pool.
  • To report any abnormal or unusual incidents to the Supervisor / Manager for his action and follow up
  • Carry out water analysis test at the end of each day per schedule and direct supervision of Recreation Coordinator.
  • To always greet the guest in accordance with hotel standards and make them feel welcome around your area
  • Make sure the guest safety around the pool areas is always adhered.
  • Maintain work areas clean and tidy to requested standard.
  • Ensure that any dangerous or flammable items are properly stored in a safe place
  • Maintain the setup of chairs, umbrellas and towels during the day and throughout your duty.
  • Reassure that all rescue equipment is in working condition and report any defects or damages.
  • To keep constantly a watch on the guest when swimming in the pool ensuring their safety comes first.
  • To report any emergency situation to his / her superior and provide any first aid assistance when required.
  • To assist other recreation or spa staff members in conducting activities and creating a fun and friendly atmosphere, only with prior permission from direct supervisor.
  • To constantly give information to the guest about the events happening daily around the hotel.
  • Ensure all work procedures are carried out as per HACCP standards.
  • To report for duty punctual, wearing the correct uniform and name tag at all times.
  • To maintain a high standard of personal appearance, grooming and hygiene at all times.
  • To attend briefings and meetings as requested.
  • To have a complete understanding of the hotel’s procedures in respect to health, hygiene and safety.
  • To ensure that wastage of cleaning materials is kept to a minimum and cleared as required.
  • To attend all training scheduled programs, even if this should fall outside your regular working hours.
  • To report to the Supervisor on duty, any unusual incidents, complaints, missing items or damaged hotel property.
