Assistant Chef (Arabic & EmaratiCuisine)
Our restaurant is searching for acreative and motivated Asst. Chef to join our talented kitchenteam. In this position, you will act as the second in command inour kitchen, following and enforcing our Executive Chef’srequirements and guidelines.
Our ideal candidate is a creativeprofessional who is willing to participate in creating deliciousseasonal menus and meal designs.
Your dutieswill include developing new menu options. You should have excellentcommunication skills with in-depth knowledge of several cookingmethods, ingredients, equipment, and processes.
Developnew menu options based on seasonal changes and customerdemand.
Assist with the preparation andplanning of meal designs.
Ensure that kitchenactivities operate in a timely manner.
Resolvecustomer problems and concerns personally.
Monitor and record inventory, and if necessary, order newsupplies.
Provide support to junior kitchenemployees with various tasks including line cooking, foodpreparation, and dish plating.
Recruit andtrain new kitchen employees to meet restaurant and kitchenstandards.
Create schedules for kitchenemployees and evaluate their performance.
Adhere to and implement sanitation regulations and safetyregulations.
Manage the kitchen team in theexecutive chef's absence.
A minimum of2 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment,and best practices.
Good understanding of MSOffice and restaurant software programs.
Teamwork-oriented with outstanding leadershipabilities.
Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills.
