1.Responsible for bookings, generating proposals, generating contracts, issuing confirmations and follow up process with all MICE customers that are assigned to you
2.Ensures that all lead requests are handled as per the policy and not exceeding the lead handing timeframe policy.
3.Ensures active follow up on sent offers as per guest requirements.
4.Interacts and liaise closely with Front Office, Reservations, Food & Beverage, and Banquet & Conference Departments.
5.Assist with Sales Blitz, coordinated by the Asst. Director of Sales.
6.Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
7.Attend the start of the functions related to his / her accounts handled.
8.Implements and executes all sales objectives and action plans to reach and exceed targets set
9.Solicits and service both Corporate and Groups business
10.Within established parameters, quotes and negotiate corporate contracts and groups business and where need be involved Director of Sales & Marketing to close contract.
11.Where applicable, closely coordinate and communicate with the international sales office with regards to RFP accounts / markets that are serviced by Outbound Sales
12.Ensures that the response to any business request is actioned within 24 hours maximum.
13.Promotes and produces sales leads for the Mövenpick hotels outside of coverage area
14.Provides feedback to the Director of Sales & Marketing on changing marketing conditions, including trends in the competition, as a result of direct sales solicitation, telephone and direct mail, in his / her market areas.
15.Solicits and serves transient and group business and meetings
16.Formulates corporate offer letters and yearly contracts and any other required business correspondence
17.Arranges site inspections of hotel.
The ideal candidate for this position must have the following experience and qualifications :
a. posses at least three (3) years of experience in a similar role (preferably in a five (5) star property)
b. preferably with previous pre-opening experience in a similar role
c. posses UAE driving license
d. is familiar with Dubai / UAE Market
e. has excellent negotiation, sales & marketing skills
f. has an excellent planning, organizational and time management skills
g.has an excellent communication and people skills
h. posses excellent oral and written communication skills
i. has a high level of attention to detail.
j. has a high degree of emotional intelligence’, remains rational and calm under pressure and is open-minded and excited by cultural and professional diversity.
