Job Description

Responsible for any technological duties associated with cloud computing, including design, planning, management, maintenance and support of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS engagements.

Responsible for assisting with the identification and selection of appropriate cloud services based on requirements and constraints along with evaluating new technologies for fit in current Infrastructure and IT architecture.

Strong system administration, engineering or architecture experience (Linux / Unix, Windows, etc) at the command-line level;

Strong scripting skillset; Support knowledge of Multi-tier architectures : load balancers, caching, web servers, application servers, databases, and networking;

Understanding of cloud security best practices; Experience with templates, tools and other configurable items to enable service delivery automation;

Familiarity with Infrastructure and application deployment techniques (and tools) in a distributed environment; IT production operations and monitoring and control techniques;

Design of self-healing and fault-tolerant services.

Understanding of stateless and loosely coupled distributed applications. Familiarity developing solutions utilizing RESTful API interfaces;

Functional understanding of relational and non-relational databases; Familiarity with messaging and queuing services. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code : design and security, configuration management, integration, deployment, performance monitoring and tuning, automation of infrastructure.

Working knowledge of one or more high-level programming languages (C#, Java, PHP, Ruby, Python, etc.). Build and test AWS Cloud environments including setting up of VPCs, account management and end to end application and data security;

Lead application migration projects to the cloud; Design and implement solutions to integrate with on premise applications.

Be a key leader in the growth of the cloud engineering practice at ALSAC;

Bachelor's Degree with 5-8 years of experience or 8+ years of overall experience in designing and implementing Infrastructure Architecture for enterprise grade applications;

Experience with implementing DevOps practices such as Infrastructure as Code (Terraforms), CICD(Jenkins or similar). Ability to exercise independent judgment and take action on it.

Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.

Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail.

Highly self-motivated and directed. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure. Strong customer service orientation.

Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
