The Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Sales Manager, Asian Market to join our team at Ramada Plaza Jumeirah Beach in Dubai, UAE

Job Summary

Sales Manager, Asian Market is responsible in management of all sales activities and events including direct sales, sales solicitation, sales administration, public relations and management of the sale team.

Sales & Admin experience, ideally in the International market and ability to demonstrate strong client relationships with Asian market driving corporate transient, catering and group business.

Solid sales & account managements skills are essential, with a strong knowledge of corporate market and business trends.

A good researcher, negotiator and client focused approach is required. The candidate should be able to show strong knowledge of constructing and executing sales & client action plans.

There should be excellent communication (verbal & written) skills, confident presentation ability and a second language would be an advantage.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in sales & marketing or related field, and four or more years of experience in a hospitality or hotel sales and marketing setting, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Need to have excellent communication skills with good knowledge of written and spoken English.

Long hours sometimes required.

Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Comply with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.

Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.

Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.

Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.

Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.

Perform other duties as requested by management.

Knowledge of the hotel & company pricing policies, as well as negotiation guidelines

Understands revenue management functions and account profitability

Knowledge of overall hotel operations as they affect department

Ability to use standard software applications and hotel systems including, Opera, etc.

Assists in the development, implementation and sustaining of aggressive solicitation program focused on increasing business.

Work with Sales team to create and implement a sales plan addressing revenue, customers’ needs and the market.

Analyze market information by using sales systems and implement strategy to achieve property's financial room and catering goals.

Review sales and catering guest satisfaction results to identify areas of improvement.

Direct and manage the forecasting process in conjunction with the Revenue Department to ensure accurate, timely and complete information.

Compile and / or direct the preparation of actively participate and complete the preparation of the annual Sales & Marketing plans, quarterly updates and the annual Budget.

Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.

Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.

Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.

Conducts site inspections.

Creates contracts as required.

Works with the Revenue Management Team to ensure that correct tracking data is collected and recorded.

Gains understanding of the hotel’s primary target customer and service expectations; serves the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solution both prior to, and during the program / event.

Preparation of monthly report to Director of Sales and Marketing.

Prepare a weekly sales report to be emailed to the DOS.

To ensure sufficient levels of hotel brochures and other literature is held by key leisure accounts. Take regular initiatives via email communication with these accounts.

To respond to tender requests from leisure / corporate and government clients in conjunction with DOS. All submissions are to be approved by the DOS / ADOS prior to distribution.
