Job Role : GLOBAL STRATEGIC ACCOUNTDIRECTOR

What will be myresponsibilities in this role?

The Strategic Account Director will maintain an intricateunderstanding of the Strategic Accounts' strategy, theirpositioning to customer and stakeholders, and the priorities ofvarious purchase decision-makers.

  • Build, manage and execute high level Strategic Accountplans, that Support Account strategic priorities withEmerson'

  • Maintain high level relationships in strategic accountsat CXO level and drive influence down to various functional andbusiness leaders
  • Managing the StrategicAccount team, and driving various Automation Solutions Objectivesacross this team
  • Devises and leads initiativesthat benefit the sales, profitability and enhance the customerexperience
  • Shapes the StrategicAccount's agenda by leveraging Emerson's broadportfolio.
  • The Strategic Account Leader hasin-depth knowledge of customers & method of communicatingto them in an multi -channel environment.
  • Member of the MEA Leadership team & GlobalStrategic Account Leadership team
  • AccountPlans

  • Developingdetailed account plans for nominated Strategic Accounts through athorough understanding of their Objective, Vision andStrategy
  • Build and execute on strategicprograms designed to align Emerson's portfolio and offeringtowards supporting Strategic Account objectives
  • Development of the strategic account plan format to driveincremental business opportunities, through a measurable andrepeatable process
  • Quarterly Account ReviewSessions with MEA Leadership team to drive strategic objectives andcadence
  • Achievement of annual &long-term account plans with MEA strategic accounts
  • BuildingRelationships

  • Map KeyStakeholders within Client Organizations, and develop anunderstanding of how these accounts tick, and how decisions flowwithin these organizations
  • Build and maintainrelationships in Strategic Accounts at C-Suite level, supportingand facilitating periodic executive level engagements betweenEmerson and Clients
  • Maximize points of contactand influence across Account Organizations
  • Maximizing EmersonContent
  • Works closely with the Sales, Marketing and otherfunctional team to develop programs and Solutions that uniquelybuild Emerson Automation Solution ability to succeed with strategicaccounts
  • Delivering profitable orders growthacross the total Emerson business focused around the businessinitiatives : Lifecycle Services, Project Pursuit, TechnologyDisruptors
  • Drives BU growth and collaborationwithin the strategic accounts down to site level
  • Very closely supports the Sales Organization to deliverthe strategic business objectives within target strategic accountcustomers.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service

    Becoming the trustedadvisor

  • Overallownership for negotiation of account terms & conditions forEmerson Automation Solutions
  • Drive and managehigh level thought leadership workshops in Strategic Accounts tobuild and execute on a common vision that aligns Emerson andAccount Priorities
  • Work across Emersonorganization to solve Customer Pains, and deliver a seamlesscustomer experience
  • What do I need to be considered for thisrole?

  • The successfulincumbent must have a bachelor'sDegree in a relevant Engineering discipline(Electrical, Mechanical or instrumentation) and ideally possess anMBA.
  • Coupled with this experience, thesuccessful candidate should have a minimumof 15 years relevantwork experience gained from a similar company to Emerson, and atleast 10 years of this experience must have been in senior customerfacing direct sales roles, preferably within the process controland automation industry.
  • Additional Personal SpecificationRequirements :

  • Afluent command of the English and Arabic languages is also highlydesirable
  • Demonstrated ability to target andconvert accounts using a combination of technical and businessvalue propositions
  • Provide evidence ofaggressive sales results
  • Proven peoplemanagement and team Directorships skills
  • Ability to communicate the business-based value ofautomation - Project Certainty and Operational Certainty
  • International project pursuit experience with provenresult
  • Extensive international travel will berequired for this position.
  • Travelling onshort notice must be acceptable
  • Unforeseenextended travel must be acceptable.
