Introduction / Position Description Summary : At the Regional Head Office (RHO) in Dubai with 62 employees, we are searching for a Human Resources Business Partner Middle East Africa.

This position is responsible for Human Resources planning, HR support, recruiting, and training / development for the RHO and the MEA region.

In addition, the incumbent supports the (HR) colleagues of the country organizations within the region MEA. The position will be based mainly in Dubai and reports to the Chief Executive Officer Middle East Africa (disciplinary) as well as to the Chief Human Resource Officer Middle East and Africa (functionally).

Purpose : The HR Business Partner acts primarily as interface between global / regional HR community and local business units.

The incumbent is responsible for bundling and representing local-specific business interests but simultaneously acts as translator of global / regional HR concepts into country business context.

He / she provides conceptual but primarily operational support for local business functions in managing people-related topics.

Furthermore, this function is responsible to manage relevant HR processes for respective local business unit and facilitates country / regional-

wide HR initiatives. Tasks and responsibilities : Identify and represent business needs / requirements on HR products and services (e.

g. HR concepts / tools, initiatives) by communicating country-specific characteristics to HR and defining their impact on HR services required Implement and locally adapt global HR standards for local business Ensure business’ understanding and acceptance of new / adjusted HR concepts and initiatives by involving, informing and enabling relevant local business stakeholders Provide conceptual support of business during business-

owned HR activities such as the design and implementation of local change management programs or organizational development projects Act as Business-

HR interface and facilitate the local operation of HR core activities such as - Support during operational workforce planning, -

Set-up and negotiation of local separation agreements and processes, - Planning and conduction of local talent marketing activities, -

Implementation and customizing of total rewards systems, - Review and implementation of salary adjustments, - Assessment of individual performance achievements, -

Design, communication and execution of country-specific development plans, - Localization and implementation of well-being concepts and plan, conduction and monitoring of employee well-

being initiatives, - Provision of labor law advice to relevant local HR and business stakeholders, - Conduction of local HR internal communication Overall in-

charge of the recruitment process : including screening of CV’s, arranging interviews, drafting offer letters, job descriptions, employment contracts, obtaining VISA, and coordinating with local authorities Ensure successful integration of employees through the development, application and maintenance of best practice orientation, probation management and transition processes management Ensuring utilization of eLearning system (LMS) as element of HR development Communicate with employees regarding their inquiries about salary, workloads, work problems, company rules, and other concerns Preparation of monthly payroll in coordination with Accounts / Finance Department Supporting cross-

border projects pertaining to HR (e.g. Ethic Survey, Employee Satisfaction Survey, Compliance topics, HR activities pertaining to IT Proactively monitor and measure compliance of all relevant legislative and company requirements, as it pertains to people-

related matters and all activities in the area of responsibility Ensuring and supervising consistent and fair management and application of all local labor relations legislation, processes, and issues whilst ensuring appropriate structures, policies, and processes are in place und utilized Ensure compliance with global / local SOP, amongst others (all SOP related to compliance, code of conduct, corporate guideline HR Management, RM02, RM03, RM04 Sanction Screening List)

Requirements :

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's / College Degree, Post Graduate Diploma / Master's Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent At least 5-

7 years of working experience in the related field (preferably in the context of Middle East and within the freight forwarding industry sector) Ability to drive and deliver business results General knowledge of the labor law legislation and typical related legal matters in the Middle East Experiences in Change Management as well as Stakeholder Management Good knowledge of HR practices and Processes Deep knowledge of recruitment and selection is necessary Knowledge and experience in Learning and Development Building organizational talent Sound verbal and written communication skills Experience of dealing with senior management Ability to build rapport with the key members of the management team Ability to work without close supervision High work ethic and a self-

starter Good at paying attention to details Sufficient IT skills Having business acumen Knowledge of Arabic language would be beneficial
