Job Role : HR Manager - Buna


Strategy and Policydevelopment

  • DevelopBuna Human resources strategy
  • Develop, revise,and recommend HR policies and procedures
  • Maintain and revise Buna handbook on policies andprocedures
  • Implement strategic organizationalchange to increase productivity and employeesatisfaction
  • Adminand Planning

  • MaintainBuna directory and other relevant organizational charts
  • Review, approve and monitor Buna HR annualbudget
  • Contribute to the development of HRdepartment goals, objectives, and systems
  • Supervise clerical assistant and temporary staffing asneeded
  • Participate in administrative staffmeetings
  • Present to Buna CEO and Board ofDirectors as needed
  • Recruitment andStaffing

  • Overseerecruitment efforts for all employees, including job descriptiondevelopment, sourcing, testing, interviewing, hiring andonboarding
  • Oversee new employee orientationsand employee relations counseling
  • Maintain thework structure by ensuring job descriptions and requirements areup-to-date, accurate and compliant with relevant laws for allpositions
  • Oversee exit interviews
  • Benefits and CompensationManagement

  • Review andapprove Buna compensation program
  • Structurecompetitive benefits packages, and oversee their success
  • Oversee and review results of annual salarysurveys
  • Training andDevelopment

  • Overseeand approve training programs
  • Providemanagement direction and counselling
  • PerformanceManagement

  • Developevaluation and performance management program
  • Lead the implementation of the performance managementprogram
  • Handle investigation and resolution ofemployee issues, concerns and conflicts
  • Qualifications andSkills

    Experience& Education

  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in humanresources positions
  • Graduate degree from areputable university preferably in human resources, organizationdevelopment, psychology or a similar discipline
  • Skills

  • PHR or SPHR certification ispreferred
  • Experience in recruitment, HRmanagement, benefits administration and performancemanagement
  • Excellent communication skills(oral and written) with ability to effectively communicate bytelephone, face to face, email and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel andPowerPoint)
  • Excellent organization and timemanagement skills, and ability to work on own initiative,accurately to tight deadlines, and to prioritize betweenconflicting demands
  • Ability to handle multipletasks with tight deadlines simultaneously
  • Effective team player and excellent relationship buildingskills with ability to demonstrate a high level of discretion andpositive attitude with all internal and externalstakeholders
  • Ability to maintain the highestlevel of confidential / sensitive information andprofessionalism
  • Flexibility and readiness towork beyond regular working hours and as required
  • Languages

  • Fluent in English
  • Knowledge of Arabic and French is a plus
