Job Role : Accountant

THEROLE

  • The role of accountant willsupport the finance team in the Shared Services Centre throughactivities of reporting, budgeting, vendor qualification, vendornegotiation and business partnering.
  • The responsibilities of theaccountant will include but are not limited to thefollowing :

  • Prepare deposit slips and depositcustomer checks in the bank.
  • Apply customerpayments in the accounting system and follow-up remittance whennecessary.
  • Assist in processing employeeexpense reimbursement.
  • Assist in gatheringinformation needed for certain HR / payroll tasks.
  • Receive accounts payable invoices and obtain properapproval from managers
  • Submit non-productivepurchase requests
  • Responsible for bookkeeping,financial reporting by cost center, and closure of financialstatements on quarterly basis
  • Co-ordination ofinformation flows for the efficient administration
  • Financial reporting (monthly cash flows, bankreconciliations)
  • Deal with clients queries ona daily basis
  • Deal with suppliers and realizeefficiency and cost savings in purchases
  • Ensure the compliance to local tax rules and regulationsif applicable.
  • Contact person for fiscaladvisors and legal consultants as well as bank and financialinstitutions.
  • Interact with colleagues of theparent company in Italy and sister companies worldwide, aboutaccounting and fiscal matters.
  • Liaise withauditors for yearly audit of financial statements.
  • Treasury planning of the local company.
  • QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in economics or accounting
  • 2 years of experience in accounting of medium-size firms(practice in all the sides of accounting : A / R, A / P, generalentries, closing of financial statements, overview of tax andsocial security declarations)
  • Experience withERP systems.
  • Experience in a multinational orshared service center company is a plus.
  • Experience in accounting outsourcing or auditing firm isa plus
  • Fluent English
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and accountingsoftware
  • Strong communicationskills
  • Ability to manage and negotiate as aproblem solver
  • Attitude to work in aninternational environment
  • Pro-active andlooking for improvements
  • Timemanager
  • Aptitude to screen priorities andobjectives
