Function : D&C- Coordination & Utilities Strategy Department

Location : Abu Dhabi / AI Ain / Western Region

Manage the pre-construction projects, providing advice on project management-related aspects througho u project life cycle to ensure timely project delivery, consistency with the Client's requirements, compliance witt llocated budget, adherence to Consultancy Service Contract and implementation of internal processes anc procedures.

Accountabilities

  • Manage the process of all coordination and communication with Clients I Stakeholders I Consultants.
  • Manage the process of receiving and recording Client's requirements and project data, to initiate the preparation of Project Brief and Project Management Plan.
  • Manage projects though out the different stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Assign new projects to the Coordination Team and maintain tables of projects distribution and status.
  • Manage the process of coordination and preparation of the Project Master Schedule and Cost Estimate in coordination with Project Control Office .
  • Review the Project Management Plan to ensure its correctness, consistency and inclusion of all project management aspects.
  • Provide advice on issues / matters arise from project progress meetings and workshops, to streamline implementation of its outcome.
  • Manage of Consultancy Service Contract and associated deliverables and payments.
  • Communicate with Clients for continuous update on project progress and acquisition of required approvals.
  • Oversee and provide advice cin the project progress to ensure delivery in line with Project Master Schedule
  • Continuously report to management on project status and any relevant challenges, risks or issues.
  • Oversee the project cost control to ensure compliance with allocated budget.
  • Monitor and control the arrangement of Value Engineering workshops and ensure implementation of its approved results.
  • Oversee and provide advice on the management of Project Risks, Quality and Change Requests
  • Ensure compliance with Client's requirements and project objectives
  • Oversee the progress of NOC's and Authorities Approvals, to ensure timely acquirement of Building Permit.
  • Coordinate with internal division though out the project cycle.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the management .
  • Overall in charge of Environment, Health and Safety for the Project
  • To ensure that the risk assessment is carried out for all hazardous work.
  • Plan and organize regular inspection and audit for EHS activities.
  • Monitor to ensure that the operations under his control are conducted in accordance with the foregoing requirements and take urgent and appropriate action to prevent unsafe working practices or other infringements of statutory or EHS plan requirements.
  • Attend and participate in EHS Committee Meetings.
  • Ensure enforcement of the EHS rules and regulations.
  • Ensure that suitable and sufficient risk assessments to identify potential hazards and job hazard analysis reviews to assess the suitability of existing methods of works and proper records maintained.
  • Ensure full co-operation of supervisory staff for EHS implementation.
  • Evaluate contractors / suppliers attitude towards EHS performance and advise them appropriately.
  • Be overall in charge of the control center during an emergency.
  • Schedule a regular meeting communicating the KPis and proper EHSMS practices to all departments and receive feedback to ensure the safe working environment.
  • lead by good examples in all aspects of health and safety practices throughout the organization.
  • Experience and qualifications required

    Knowledge and Experience (Please refer to guidance for knowledge and experience required by grade)

  • Knowledge and experience required is at a post graduate or professional level developed over 3-6 years' experience in professional, technical or managerial role;
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering in preferably in Civil Engineering I Architecture I Project Management or equivalent
  • Work experience in project management, administrative and supervisory areas in the area of design or construction or related field
  • Project Management certification (Prince II or PMP) will be preferred
  • Relevant experience in the project and construction management in public I private sector organization.
  • Knowledge of Local Authorities codes and regulations
  • Knowledge of Project Control Systems (PCS)
  • knowledge with construction industry in Abu Dhabi Emirate.
  • Qualifications (Please refer to guidance for qulaifications required by grade)

  • Have Masters / Bachelor with a of 3-4 years (UAE Nationals) or 7-9 years (Expats) of experience in the relevant field.
