Coating site representative is a professional with a sound understanding of technical, quality, logistic and economic aspects of the coating subcontracted activities.
He / she shall be able to follows painting and coating activities, in all project execution stage, from the set of project working procedure and test plan;
up the final delivery of released coated item. The activities are mainly focused but limited to : Concrete or FBE coated pipes, riser and spools fabrication, valves;
flanges; welded double joint and subsequent field joint coating.
All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.

1. SPECIFIC KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
To review the engineering package in term of scope of work for coating subcontractor. Drawing, project specification
To manage NCR and to propose technical resolution method.
1.2 FABRICATION ENGINEERING
To review the fabrication methods of spools and risers, and to implement a coating sequence for subcontractors.
To review and to implement production schedule with subcontractor, in accordance to installation team instructions; for pipe / bend / flange coating.
To review; to implement subcontractor coating working procedures
Provide Input for TQ and NCR resolution.
To estimate the scope of work in term of third party inspectors.
Developing with subcontractors, suitable method statements for no-standard application.
To schedule and to witness prequalification for coating.
To participate at the budget creation for the site man-hours.
Maintaining regular communication with the expediters.
1.4 CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION
Reviewing of the no valuable part of the coating subcontractor contracts, in order to provide technical / commercial improvement.
To monitor, to verify and to release subcontractor invoicing documentation, such as : monthly time sheets, production reports, inspection release notes.
To update and to maintain the subcontractor performance register.
To participate at the contract close out and reconciliation.
To request to contract management the variation orders in case of extra requirement.
1.5 QA / QC
Providing support to QA / QC in the definition of the inspection test plan during subcontracted coating production.
Providing support in the definition of the list of applicable working procedure, method statement, to be submitted for client approval.
Definition and execution of the qualification for the coating personnel.
Supporting QA / QC for the painting and coating NCR resolution. Issuing the coating failure analysis report and proposing a feasible solution.
To maintain records and implement the coating traceability system.
Supporting QAQC to evaluate inspection personnel and third party agency.
Technical focal point for coating and painting inspectors.
1.6 PROJECT ONSHORE OPERATION
To monitor and to report the subcontractor performance.
To coordinate with subcontractor the production schedule.
To coordinate the subcontractor site logistic for deliverables and load out.
Grant site gate pass to all personnel involved in the subcontracted yard
Act as a technical interface with all coating subcontractors
2. AUTHORITY AND DIMENSION
Operate within the Business Code of Conduct Operate according to Subsea 7’s Management Principles
Support standards and procedures for the Engineering and Operation Functions
Can release working procedure and method statement upon prior approval of the coating package lead
Can address request; variation orders, budget increments to contract manager.

4. PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
Established knowledge of project scope of work and project specification.
Established knowledge of project fabrication method for pipeline, piping and structures.
Ability to function as a team member across multiple work locations, departments and projects.
Sound understanding of coating with established understanding of coating application methods.
Sound communication skills, oral, written and electronic.
Ability to prioritize own workload, manage time and change control.
Ability to manage interfaces within a project structure, including other disciplines; engineering; procurement; commercials, operations, project management, clients, suppliers, installations; Quality and HSE.
Strong safety leadership.
Ability to work under pressure in multi ethnic working team.
Location : Sharjah (main office) / INDIA and MIDDLE EAST COUNTRIES (resident in Indian and / or Saudi coating yard.)
