The Gulf & Levant markets (part of the Middle East Hub) include UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Iran and Yemen.

JOB PURPOSE

The Sales Support & Business Analyst is a member of the Sales Operations unit within the Gulf and Levant territory who provides support to the sales and business development team by accumulating, analyzing and presenting all the sales and commercial data across Gulf & Levant for all Line of Businesses (Schools, Higher Education, ELT and Qualifications).

In addition to this the role will also involve playing an active part in supporting the sales teams operationally with multiple systems and responding to customer requests as required.

This role reports into the Sales Operations and Channel Manager.

Key Accountabilities :

Responsible for the collection and analysis of sales data.

Provide reporting and analysis on agreed KPI’s such as opportunity pipeline, visit schedules and efficiency, conversion rates, etc.

Compile dashboards and reports for the sales leads to enable them to effectively monitor and grow the business.

Be a champion for OneCRM (SalesForce.com). Take ownership of the system and drive usage. Promote best practice and provide training and support to the sales teams.

Compile and provide reports for the management and sales teams.

Work with the sales leads to provide accurate monthly forecasting reports for management as well as analysis on forecasting efficiency.

Provide in depth, long term analysis on Pearson’s place in the market and against key competitors.

Be the primary contact for customer enquiries assign, delegate and action these as necessary for quickest resolution.

Competencies

A) Profile (e.g. required experience, knowledge, qualifications, etc.)

Bachelor Degree or Higher Educational background

3 years’ experience in a similar role

B) Skills & Competences

Highly motivated and independent worker

Keen learner with good attention to detail

Effective communication and presentation skills

Strong organizational, administrative and planning skills

Commitment and flexibility

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

Team player with the ability to interact at multiple levels

Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel and MS Office in general
