Role description summary

This function is essential to the value of the company because it sets strategic regional sales goals and

contributes to the setting of the overall corporate goals and objectives. The Sales Manager is responsible for ensuring the organization stays focused on value proposition of Customer Intimacy.

Establish close relationships with executives of our key global prospects. The sales manager requires knowledge of regional social, cultural

and political landscape of its region. Significantly contributes to the value of the Company by ensuring the

enterprise stays true to our value proposition by building long term profitable relationships with key multi-national clients.

This assignment is focused on exceeding the regional business unit’s revenue budget. This position is required to clearly identify future satellite capacity requirements for an ever changing regional customer set, as well as to set sales strategies that are applicable to a diverse set of customers and their broad range of satellite based business applications.

Primary responsibilities / Key result areas

  • Build high value relationships with potential customers in the targeted markets and positively influence them so as to generate qualified leads.
  • Lead responsibility for negotiating and closing high value contract and also make sure the revenue goals are met or over achieved.
  • Coordinate a multi-disciplinary team consisting of legal, finance, technical engineering and operations staff to manage and resolve customer issues.
  • Set sales strategies that are applicable to a diverse set of customers and their broad range of satellite based business applications.
  • Manage a portfolio of high value customer accounts.
  • Qualify customers, issue proposals, follow-up and execute contract closure in a timely manner.
  • Competencies

    Selling & Negotiation Skills

    This position is required to make decisions regarding sales strategies, effectively make

    commercial offers, negotiate price variations, and provide customers with quotations,

    customer relationship management and driving the sales process. This position is

    expected to deliver a regional revenue target in the range of 5 20 MUSD.

    Customer Relation skills

    Key is the talent to build and maintain relationships with customers in order to retain and

    grow revenues and margins as well as the ability to gain a clear understanding of the

    customers’ businesses and requirements and be able to offer the customer tailor made

    advice upon forthcoming product developments or services that could lead to new

    Market intelligence

    In this highly competitive market it is necessary to have an ongoing knowledge and

    understanding of the market and developments in the customer base. Specific trends or

    shifts in the market need to be monitored, tracked, analyzed and reported to

    management or other parts of the organization.

    Technical knowledge

    Technical knowledge is key to understand the Company’s products into great detail,

    allowing to better driving the co-operation between the various departments, resulting

    into efficient and pro-active interdepartmental results.

    Regional knowledge

    With customers and staff located in different regions of the World, it is key to understand

    the variances within the region and as such the differences in market settings,

    customers’ expectations & requirements to be able to determine the different necessary

    Cultural understanding

    Without understanding the big cultural differences that exist throughout the region, it is

    very difficult to succeed in this role. Understanding the differences allows being able to

    set the correct approach and take the appropriate strategic decisions, associated with

    Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years sales experience from an international sales organization, preferably within the Satellite ,Telecommunication or Media Industry
  • A bachelor or a Master’s degree in Business Administration( MBA), Engineering or any other relevant area
  • Very good selling , presentations & negotiation skills with the ability to effectively make commercial offers, negotiate commercial terms and conditions
  • Be able to travel at least 60% internationally
  • Fluency in both Arabic and English is a must
