Job Role : Costuming Attendant
The Costuming Attendant is responsible for the overall laundering, pressing and quality control of costume pieces that are utilized across the live entertainment program.
They work closely with the costuming team, show performers and other members of the Entertainment department to ensure all items are available for daily operations.
Their scope of work will also include :
Conducting quality control checks of all costumes and costume props on a daily basis
Making small repairs to costumes by hand sewing on site and takes larger pieces to the shop
Writing alterations / repair tags and tracks the progress of the costumes in repair
Participating in off-site or on-site public relations and special events involving costumes and performers as per set schedules
Maintaining accurate and up to date costume inventory levels
Helping with costuming distribution systems as requested by management including checking in and out costumes daily, delivering costumes to green rooms, replacing costume pieces throughout the day and other tasks as assigned by management
Assisting with administrative tasks and performing other duties as requested by management
As an ideal candidate, you will need to have :
Experience in sewing with both single needle and cover stitch machines
Knowledge of sewing and cutting patterns as well as pattern making
Experience in laundry facility and / or hotel uniform facility
Ability to carry and move relatively heavy items
