Job Summary

An opportunity has arisen for a Revenue Management Executive to join our lifestyle team in Zabeel House by Jumeirah, The Greens.

The role will be overlooking three properties within the group. The main purpose of the role is to support the (assistant) Revenue Manager in their daily tasks and responsibilities, such as communication of selling strategies, maintenance of reports, market research, inventory control with the purpose of maximizing revenue and profitability of the hotel.

  • Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist in managing room and catering authorisations, rates and restrictions
  • Assist in preparing rooms and catering forecasts on weekly and monthly basis
  • Direct the application of appropriate inventory management and pricing strategies to ensure that seasonal and day-of-week demand peaks are smoothed and that the property is able to continuously grow its Revenue per Available Room (RevPAR).
  • Prepare daily revenue reports and circulate them to the relevant stakeholders and departments (Reservations, Sales and Marketing, Finance) in order to keep them informed of revenue performance and raise any gaps in revenue
  • Perform Rate Loading in all the relevant systems and documents to ensure that standards of rate codes data entry are met and that the SBU offers rate parity.
  • Monitor IDeaS Best Available Rate on a daily basis in order to highlight the optimal rate with the highest probability of selling based on the arrival date and length of stay.
  • Monitor the competition’s activities on a weekly basis through shop reports and online research in order to identify potential selling points and revenue-related market trends that the SBU could benefit from integrating.
  • Pull daily reports from Delphi & Opera such as reservations entered by’, change log, cancellations and turndown reports
  • To ensure that turndowns and cancellations are tracked correctly in Delphi system and communicate with Delphi administrator
  • Perform audits and maintenance on all systems such as PMS, CRS, RMS, in order to ensure that the content and information is recorded in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Update daily figures in STR website
  • To track ongoing & future promotions on a regular basis (room nights, revenue & average rate)
  • Performs any other duties as and when required according to the needs of the business
  • About You :

    The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent university studies in Hotel Management / Administration or commercial discipline
  • At least one year of previous experience working in the hospitality industry in a Revenue, Reservation, or Commercial related role is a must
  • Previous experience with Revenue Management systems (IDeaS ) is desirable.
  • Professional and courteous demeanour; ability to relate to others well
  • Trustworthy and discrete; high degree of personal integrity
  • Highly attentive to detail, yet also able to discern items of true importance and prioritize accordingly
  • Highly skilled with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Property Management System
  • Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience : 1 - 3 years in Revenue, Reservation, or Commercial( Required )
  • Graduation : Bachelor of Business Administration( Preferred )
  • Proficient in English( Required )
