Job Role : SVP & Head of Compliance,Personal Banking
Lead the management of change throughcontinuous improvement of functional systems, processes andpractices taking into account global standards and changes in thebusiness that demand proactive action plans.
Ensure effective implementation of the Bank’sCompliance strategy within the PBG Team’s remit to ensurevertical alignment and horizontal integration with otherinterfacing departmental strategies.
Help todevelop, document, implement and manage relevant material strategiccompliance governance and documents, including but not limited toBalanced Scorecard, Risk Appetite and Annual CompliancePlan.
Effectively lead and manage the PBG Compliance Team bysetting of individual objectives, managing performance, developingand motivating staff to maximise performance.
Support the Compliance Governance Department in talentmanagement including acting as an SME on developing and deliveringtraining for PBG.
Provide guidance and on thejob training for junior colleagues and conduct knowledge sharingsessions.
Identify PBG Team resourceshortfalls against the Compliance Department capacityplan.
Act as a role model to direct andindirect reports to drive adherence to organisational values andethics and foster a value driven culture within thebank.
Policies,Systems, Process & Procedures
Advise on the rollout and implementation ofGroup wide Compliance policies and procedures.
Budgeting and FinancialPlanning
Prepare andrecommend the PBG Compliance Team’s budget and monitoradherence to budget, while ensuring all team activities areconducted in line with the approved guidelines.
Provide guidelines to the Technology, Data& Reporting Team and Monitoring, Assurance &Governance Compliance Team on KPI’s and KRIs forreporting to senior stakeholders.
Review MIrelated to PBG prior to submission to GCC / HCO.
Act as anSME to provide Compliance advice to internal and external (Groupwide) stakeholders as required.
Develop andstrengthen relationships to promote best practice and ensure a goodunderstanding of Compliance requirements across PBG.
Monitor account closures and relationship existsfollowing decision to exit for Compliance reasons.
Act as the Compliance SME for the PBG new policies,procedures and processes.
Act as theCompliance SME for the new and amended product reviewprocess.
Coordinate with Regulatory Complianceand FCC functions to provide recommendations on compliancerisks.
Connect requestors to Compliancecolleagues to obtain approvals (where required).
Advise Business Units with technical insights and buildcredibility based on an understanding of their challenges relatedto products, customers and transactions.
Provide updates to PBG business on compliancerequirements, best practices, market news, internationalregulations, hot topics and regulatory changes.
Oversee implementation of IA recommendationsfor findings against the PBG Team.
Lead / participate in relevant financial crime relatedprojects as per the project guidelines set by the ComplianceGovernance Department
Bachelor’s degree or higher in management,banking, finance
Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in areputed bank or any financial institution
Minimum of 8 years of experience in personal banking or acompliance advisory role with knowledge of CASS, governance,conduct risk, new regulatory developments such as MiFID 2preferably
