Within the FTA IT department, the ProjectManagement Office acts as the hub for all information relating toproject and portfolio management (PPM).

The PMOalso supports IT governance by introducing PPM guidelines and bestpractices and encouraging their adoption by theorganization.

Project Analyst will have a proventrack record within a medium / large enterprise PMO, focusing on ITor technology departments.

He will need superioranalytical skills to identify issues and opportunities in the ITportfolio, and an aptitude for solving complex problems quickly andeffectively.

A keen eye for detail and a passionfor quality is essential. Great communication skills will berequired to positively influence and lead the organization towardsmaturity.

Operational Roles To manage and trackthe progress of complex projects, PMO Analysts must perform manytasks in their day-to-day work.

Some of the primary PMO Analystduties and responsibilities

  • Participate in the improvement of PMO and portfolio managementmethodologies
  • Support processes andstandards documentation activities in a centralized PMO knowledgebase
  • Monitor existing projects toensure timely execution & completion.
  • They closely follow project development and track thateach stage is completed appropriately and within time andbudget.

  • Analyse data and projectinformation to identify better ways to do business as well as newbusiness opportunities. This information is provided to seniormanagement to guide their decision-making.
