You must bepassionate about storytelling and editorial innovation,enthusiastic about unearthing the best experiences in Dubai and thewider Emirates, and have a record of managing a team in ademanding, fast-paced environment.
â ¢ Support the Editor in the overallproduction, execution and management of Time Outâ sdigital, social, video and print products in Dubai, including TimeOut Dubai and Time Out DXB, the brandâ s dedicatedairport product.
â ¢ Work toensure Time Out is the first to break news of happenings within thebrandâ s remit, quickly identifying subjects, topics andevents that will make compelling content pieces and making suretheyâ re executed in line with our overall brandstrategy.
â ¢ Be creative,and ready to drive new content ideas and formats across Time OutDubaiâ s platforms.
â ¢ Plan, write, commission, edit andproof content, making sure digital content is executed in line withTime Outâ s SEO and social strategies, and overseeingflatplanning and leading product press days.
â ¢ Motivate an editorial team,collaborate with other Editors in the Group and maintain a strongworking relationship with the commercial team.
â ¢ Have your finger on the pulse ofthe local scene; use your professional contacts and social-medianetworks to be the first to identify the next big thing.
â ¢ Manage and build out a strongnetwork of relationships with key hospitality, entertainment andleisure brands and properties across the city.
â ¢ Work with video team to createsuccessful video content relevant to your products, be ready tojump front-of-camera.
â ¢Create content that meets individual and team goals (e.g.engagement, traffic, conversion, time-on page, etc.).
â ¢ Work with a small, but talentededitorial to populate an editorial calendar. Keep it current,identifying commercial and audience opportunities within it andcommunicating them to other teams.
â ¢ Alongside the Editor, ensure TimeOutâ s editorial standards are met, all relevantcopyrights have been cleared, content is optimised for SEO andcontent meets local and legal guidelines.
â ¢ Work with the Editor and EditorialDirector to ensure ALL content reflects Time Outâ soverall editorial strategy and meets brand guidelines
â ¢ Embrace Time Outâ sdigital-first philosophy. A strong background in digital publishingis absolutely essential.
â ¢Act as an effective brand ambassador for Time Out and an evangelistfor our brand in the market.
â ¢ Undertake reviews and attend eventsoutside of office hours.
â ¢Drive and develop Time Outâ s annual event and awardsproperties.
â ¢ Assumeresponsibilities of the Editor during periods of annualleave.
