Consolidating of financial information of companies in the group for monthly / quarterly MIS reports and managing all accounting and financing activities.
Conducting budget analysis and preparing cash flow statements and ensuring that funds are available to ensure smooth operation.
Facilitating preparation and presentation of weekly and monthly management reports on productivity analysis, inventory turnover analysis, cost variance analysis.
Investigating and monitoring key cash movements, calculate and communicate short term projections of positions with the knowledge that key decisions are made by funding desks based upon these projections.
Perform corporate bank account cash reconciliation, analyze cash balance variances and find opportunities to improve cash position accuracy.
Preparation of monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, monthly variance analysis, analyzing variances versus budget, forecast and prior year, giving clear insight into the drivers of variances.
Responsible for monitoring with the monthly / quarterly closing process, journal entries and account summaries.Perform intercompany reconciliations, bank reconciliations, balance sheet analysis, profit & loss analysis, fixed asset accounting & payroll reconciliations.
Closely monitor and control workflow for capitalization exception, capital value in hold and maintenance request. Review exception files on a regular basis to ensure projects capitalization and or depreciation expense timely commence as advised by accounting policy advisory.
Assess value on hold, determine solutions and perform complex asset maintenance transactions.Provide support to customers regarding collection issues, refunds, write-offs, adjustments and credit requests and resolves client discrepancies.
Monitoring and reviewing all aspects of the collection process such as mailing of statements, account histories with customers and posting payments and any corresponding adjustments.
Work closely with purchasing and vendor contracting staff, to resolve contract terms, purchase order / receipt / invoice discrepancies to produce quality review and output.
Payment processes & approval of manual and electronic payments are executed accurately and according to policy.Analysis of departmental and store costs for month end - identify cost savings initiatives including analysis of consumables, purchasing POs, GRNs by store.
Compile and analyze all entries in VAT registers for both accounts payable and accounts receivable. Correct VAT treatment errors and / or include manual adjustments where applicable.
EDUCATION - Masters in Accounts and Commerce SKILLS - Should be able to handle popular software like Tally, Quick Book and ERP systems used for accounts and finance.
