Role Overview Reporting to the Regional Head of FX & Investment Products, the job holder has the responsibility for contributing towards the delivery of the MENAT Investment revenue through commercialization and support in the implementation of initiatives related to marketing, distribution and operations / technology.

This will encompass the following core activities :

  • Support in development of product and marketing strategy, including a coherent offering of investment products (Structured Products, Fixed Income, Managed Solutions, Mutual Funds and Discretionary Wealth Management Services) to be able to fulfill customer needs and increase Bank’s market share as well as AUM
  • Assist in the post launch and ongoing governance of investment products.
  • Key focus on supporting the development of new products under mutual funds, brokerage, structured products, ETF’s etc.
  • Engagement and mobilization of key stakeholders across business and functions in order to deliver investment plan.
  • Prepare periodic management reporting for the Investment business in MENAT
  • Duties & Responsibilities

  • Product level performance in generating revenue from existing and new business across the key markets and customers.
  • Work closely with the Wealth Teams to consistently drive excellent product development / distribution and sales performance
  • Through constant evaluation of market trend, needs of different customer groups and regular review of investment product portfolio, optimize the investment product suite, identify product gap and business opportunities, drive initiatives to sustain competitive edge
  • Personally and through others, holding and developing technical expertise in the product as well as initiating and delivering change programs in line with strategy enabling achievement of revenue targets
  • Support in evaluating product proposals from external providers such as Asset Management companies as well as internally from HSBC Asset Management, keeping in mind both customers interest and business requirements
  • Support in launching investment products in line with relevant group policies, and that PIRs are conducted effectively after giving due consideration to relevant risks, competitiveness, and profitability, and at the same time ensuring alignment with current market environment and Global investment product strategies for RBWM
  • Leverage product provider capabilities in terms of training and communications to improve RM productivity
  • Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets
  • Qualifications

    Experience & Qualifications The jobholder should have 3 years of working experience, of which a minimum of 1 years of relevant experience in product development, sales or marketing in Wealth products with leading retail banks, private banks or fund houses. In addition to above

  • University Degree.
  • 3 year or more of wealth management experience
  • Adequate knowledge on operational procedures, compliance, risk management, sales and service.
  • Strong commercial and analytical acumen
  • An understanding of the retail financial services market in the MENAT and its developments
  • Ability to handle multi-dimensional tasks.
  • Ability to execute analytical and data driven decisions.
  • Well versed with MS Office; Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • A track record of personal success in previous roles.
  • An active interest in keeping abreast of the latest happenings in the world of finance
