Job Purpose

Responsible for the Procurement Activities across the third party vendor spectrum as a core function in addition to managing procurement for allocated portfolio in non-Tech Category.

The responsibilities and accountabilities as below :

Research, analyze, evaluate and discover best practices to deliver differentiated products and services to manage the consumption demand.

Lead & coordinate with other Buyers in CPD Team to identify or develop suitable third party Suppliers / Vendors for meeting Bank’s requirements.

In case where leading an initiative, form the Project Team to execute the Tendering Process end to end.

Explore innovation for digitization, automation, modernization and simplification of processes, policies, templates and systems to deliver better control and coordination to add value.

For allotted procurement portfolio, perform end to end actions to do the vendor and price discovery duly resulting in Recommendation and Contracting.

Living the values of the bank, adhering to code of conduct and procurement policies and procedures.

Key Result Areas

Proactive spend management, stakeholder engagement and strategy formulation to manage spend better

Value added inputs for Procurement Policy, Processes, Templates, Systems and SOP revision.

Timely reporting to stakeholders and business case for change to a new model of operation.

Project Management consisting of Working Committee / Steering Committee or Stakeholders to deliver value additions in aggressive timelines

Change Management

Driving procurement end to end for the allotted portfolio in non-Tech category area

Maintain strict compliance with the Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreements and principles.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

A Graduate with thorough knowledge of Procurement.

Appetite for enquiry, evaluation, business case preparation and sound network of internal stakeholder relationship

Familiarity with online research for best practices and also vendor interaction to uncover different models of operation

Familiar with local market dynamics and trade practices in particular and region and international market in general.

Strong communication skills and ability to discuss / debate ideas at granular level

Good command over automated analytical tools to support vendor analysis, evaluation matrix, performance analysis, SLA, TAT measurements etc.

Professional, with a proven track record of integrity and ethical values
